Kansas City, Missouri, Health Department Director Says City Is In Second Wave of COVID-19

The state of Missouri is lifting stay-at-home restrictions next week, citing promising data on COVID-19 spread, and other government jurisdictions are also aiming to quickly return to normal. But data show that COVID-19 is continuing to spread and could be on an upswing in Kansas City, according to the head of the city's health department.

  3. Can we pump more ineffectual fear into the situation guys? What a clown.

Besides, we're all far too busy rioting to bother with social distancing. Partying in the Ozarks is forbidden but street thug conventions are a-ok!!

  9. 51 new cases in wyco has got my attention. One would think with the summer temperatures this stuff would go away.

Fortunately for myself I have type O- blood meaning less likely to be affected but can still carry the virus. It sucks wondering almost everyday if I'll ever get sick from covid.

    1. 844 simp more. 51 new cases out of 100s thousands.

What does that even mean...50 asymptomatic cases and 1 obese 82 year old in a nursing home.

Some ppl are easily manipulated and you are one of them.

      Delete
  10. 8:53 I'm not easily manipulated. I am stubborn though. The Riverbend post acute center here in wyco is a stones throw away from me. Granted, the elderly were affected the most.

Imagine the nurses being a mother rabbit and the patients being the litter. One by one the 35 or so patients just start dying and the nurses can't do nothing about it - nobody to learn from experience wise. When it happens that close to home it's scary. Not really scary though it does pique ones interest.

I'll add that I'm not sure I've even seen a person sick from covid 19 yet - it's hard to tell whose well and who isn't.

    ReplyDelete
  11. If it's hard to tell who is sick and who is not, perhaps none of them are sick.

Do you know how many of the 35 were already dying of something else...ppl in nursing homes did die before this.

Why does the media fail to report details that would put this in perspective.

    ReplyDelete
  12. As we've learned, it spreads because of pool parties at the lake of the ozarks, but not during protests and riots.

  13. Archer has been a basket case since this thing started, remember this is his job and he’s had a lifetime to prepare for something like this and all he can do is beg for the city to be shutdown and hide in his basement.

Second wave my ass, we’re they lying about the first wave? When did it end? He won’t produce the number of recovered people because he’s trying to scare people to death.

“He’s had a lifetime to prepare” and he’s failed miserably.

    ReplyDelete
  14. We have less than 1700 cases in four months and this clown is in panic mode, is he running his command from his basement bunker like rapey joes?

  15. I do know that the folks at that particular place were always next to each other conversing or just sitting all day long. Safe to say 90% were in wheelchairs. For elderly people it was a very lively and, for them, a happening place to be.

If I were in my last years that's where I'd want to be. All kinds of friends to make no matter the race. It's not the dead, lonely, abandoned feeling one gets from the other similar homes throughout the city. I haven't been to all retirement/rehab homes but I've been through a few.

Maybe that was their downfall - too close together for too long. If they get covid 19 and like illnesses figured out they'll be the best in town health care wise imo.

  16. I witnessed the nursing staff of Sleepy Hills Manor take a busload of elderly and dump them in a Lake of the Ozarks swimming pool.

Brought them back to KC and well you know what happened.

Dr Rex Archer is investigating as soon as he finds his stethoscope.

  18. And I somewhat agree that we're still in the first wave of the pandemic. Everybody is out again with the same germs present. I believe gas pump handles and dirty floored stores still have the most germs present.

It will be this/that way until the vaccine is developed.

  19. Once the feds started pumping trillions of dollars out of DC, this whole "emergency" quickly deteriorated into nothing more than MONEY.
Tens of millions of unaccountable dollars sloshing around Jackson County and KCMO and lots of very familiar faces attached to hands fighting over and grabbing for it.
Now even public safety has "become" a "health issue".
Just follow the money, as usual.
And the vast majority of it will be thrown away.
    As usual.

  25. No bLIEron he isn’t, he’s trying to act like he knows what he’s doing when in reality he doesn’t. He’s just trying to keep his gravy high paying job. He’s had his whole career to be ready for an event like this and the best answer he had was to shut everything down. Tragic response that cost people their homes, livelihoods and businesses, just like that useles riot shit that’s going on. It’s all been a despicable dimwit plot to destroy America. Piss off douche bag

  27. By this time next year, everyone of you will have a grandparent, parent, or close relative dead due to this virus. It has mutated to become even more contagious, but no less deadly. Scarf all you want, the virus gives no fucks to your political leanings. It has no feelings, doesn’t give a fuck who you voted for, and couldn’t care less if you’re a dumb bitch Karen ranting on a comment section of a C grade blog. It will be difficult to mourn all of your dead relatives when you could only have 10 people at a funeral, and seven of them are coughing your fucking lungs out.

Ask not for whom the Bell tolls, bitches, it tolls for you.

  28. >By this time next year, everyone of you will have a grandparent, parent, or close relative dead due to this virus.

That is going to be quite a trick considering the hospitals in this part of the country did not even come close to getting overwhelmed the first time the virus came through. Are you writing fan fiction? Is that the plot to a movie you saw or a video game you are playing?

    ReplyDelete
  29. I will take my chances with the virus versus everyone stays in their house allowing the Democrat Party militant ANTIFA burn the city down.

  30. Fauci just came out and said No 2ND WAVE!
Stats support not shutting down.. hurts the poor and causes suicides.

Anyone for shutting down again or ANY states still down must support Suicides and Hate the poor.

Any further protests must be AGAINST any Closings.

    10-10-10 Mayor MUST resign!

  31. QUICK! EVERYONE PANIC!

KC ADDED 10 WHOLE CASES SINCE YESTERDAY! THE 2ND WAVE IS HERE! HAHAHAHAHA!

  32. KC has 1680 cases since the beginning of March, psycho Rex “the lyin Adam schiff of kc” archer won’t release the recovered cases you wanna know why? Narrative that’s why, stupid fucking dimwits.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I hear we have less than 500 active cases and less than ten in the hospital. I have no idea if it’s true or not, just what I heard from a friend of somebody who works for a hospital.

    ReplyDelete
  34. All the libs are trying to make sure Sleepy Joe can mostly stay in the basement talking to his "twin brother" in the mirror about how he beat up a guy named Corn Pop in 1962 until the election is over. They don't want him to have to venture out into the public and try to put two coherent sentences together. It would be a complete disaster for the Democratic Party if its nominated candidate shows the world that his mind has left his body.
