Thoughts on the Death of George Floyd, A Message on Pentecost 2020

Pentecost 31 May 2020 Today is Pentecost. For many Christians, it is the birthday of their Church and would be the occasion for a great celebration. Yet, our nation needs this time to mourn the tragic death of George Floyd, a citizen and an African American man.

  2. Morning the death of a man that was a criminal and died by a heart attack and filled with drugs while being arrested, held a knife to a pregnant women while he robbed her. But yet no mourning of a retired cop who was shot down in clod blood. And in the end times they will call evil good and good evil.
The catholic church goes against the Bible I know I was raise in that cult. The new pope is a socialist and globalist. THEY ARE NOT CHRISTIANS!!!!!!!!!

  5. 6:56: You need to study your Fox News talking points more carefully. Globalist is dog whistle for Jew. But you got most of them right. I'm sure Hannity will give you a three swastika rating.

  6. It's so progressive so convict a man without a trial, modern day lynching. There is alot more to the floyd debacle than the media is telling us. We are being fed a narrative.

  7. Funny that the Rockhurst President never sent out a similar letter condeming Catholic Priests for raping altar boys.

    1. Agreed. The BLM movement has plenty of advocates right now. Mr. Curran's efforts would be better placed making atonement for his own own organization's abuse of thousands of children.

Thomas Curran to resign as President of Rockhurst University, call for his replacement to be a Black female, and provide free tuition/housing for all students of color???

"I am a white, Roman Catholic, Jesuit priest, who serves as the president of Rockhurst University. I wish to replace the usual effort of calling for dialogue, order and calm with: 1.) a profound apology for my own racism; 2.) an acknowledgment of my silence and the frequent silence of my Church and community to which I belong; and 3.) the commitment to do everything I can, in my position, to bring about that right relationship."

    Thomas B. Curran, S.J.
    President of Rockhurst University

  10. Every black criminal has a Constitutional right to live through fentanyl intoxication exacerbated by meth use, and does not have to submit to arrest unless the officer says pretty please get into the squad car. All deaths from drug use must be attributed to whitey...somehow.

Meanwhile, Minneapolis mayor (((Jacob Frey))) has pissed-off the crybaby mob by refusing to defund the police dept. Every day brings more absurdist comedy.

@11:03 Jews have been banished from 109 different countries in 1000 years. This historical fact passes through their Magic Reality Machine (otherwise known as all mainstream media) and becomes "Jews have SUFFERED 1000 years of OPPRESSION". How was that, child ?

  15. I attended Rockhurst College in the 1980's. When deeply questioning a Jesuit on why "purgatory" and Limbo exists, and why people do not go directly to heaven I was told---"Basically Jesus screwed up on his mission and failed"!!!! Really??? Jesus who is God failed? Thats news to me!

The Jesuit/Catholic reasoning is that since "Jesus failed" and cannot offer you "immediate guarenteed salvation" you must do the following Catholic traditions/works in order to "slowly work your way to heaven over the years" : attend masses, Pray to Mary (she was a success), Pray to Saints (they were a success), repeat the same prayers over and over, be baptized, have rosary beads, go to confession so a Priest can forgive your most recent sins, hold masses for the dead to get them out of purgatory sooner, buy indulgences (still for sale in NYC) and if you commit a mortal sin all your good works your whole life are wiped out and you have to start all over again - go back to square 1 like in a board game, you lose all your credits. I explained that Jesus being crucified was not a failure - he didnt come to earth back them to become a reining King of Israel and drive the Romans out. The crucifiction was a success as he raised himself from the dead and proved he was God and that everything is said was straight from God's mouth- including immediate salvation by only believing in him. No works required. No traditions required. No other way to heaven. I didnt appreciate the Jesuits calling Jesus a liar and failure. Neither does God. They will answer for leading people astray and straight into hell!

  17. How long would Rockhurst last without their own police force, UMKCs across the street, and the KCPD? I’ve got fifteen minutes. Anyone else have a guess. No one from St Louis or Omaha is going to send their little girls to go there if the police take a hike.

  19. 12:48 PM Never ask a Jesuit a question about Catholic theology. Is the Pope Catholic? No, he is a Jesuit.

  20. I ask a Jesuit about Catholic theology. They all agree that a person has to "try to work their way to heaven". No Catholic is secure knowing that when they die they will ever go to heaven. They just hope they can someday work their way out of purgatory. If their relatives hold/pay for a bunch of masses for them it helps them get to heaven. Or if you walk under a specific doorway in the Vatican during a certain day, it will take years of your "stay" in purgatory. But these rules are never quoted by Jesus. They arent in the Bible. They were made up by uneducated men in the 1430's who were trying to collect money from the uneducated masses. And modern Americans believe that old hocus pocus money collecting bullshit today? Most people can't ever work their way to being President of the company they work at. Workign your way to heaven (if possible) would be several BILLION times harder than becoming a corporate President. The Catholic Church is a portal to hell. Its the broad way that leads to damnation. Your good works are never going to be enough to make you right with God. They are rubbish. Better ask for mercy as a sinner instead.

  21. Rockhurst produced some of the cities highest paid corporate executives, many in the mutual fund industry - they cared little for the staff under they, over paid themselves, took boondoggles to Aspen with thousands spent on booze (its a drug) and expensive gift bags and shopping trips for their families. Old Deramus that trusted them would have rolled over in his grave has he known of their high pay, low working hours and missing out on the subaccounting trend that other companies saw coming decades earlier! DST = failure. Now the execs are old and will die off soon, to be forgotten altogether.

  22. Oh and the mutual fund executives from Rockhurst screwed their own pension plans by letting it be invested in Vailent - the drug company who had a stock collapse. They couldnt even understand diversify of funds. Stuck it all in a spec stock! Idiots~!

  23. Rockhurst was the old boy's club of white men in Kansas City. Now that priests have been found to be rapists of both young boys and girls - its not good to have Rockhurst on your resume.
