POOR WHITE LIVES CLEARLY DON'T MATTER TO KANSAS CITY PROTESTERS!!! AND THAT'S PROBABLY FOR THE BEST!!!
Over the few days there have been two white suspected criminals killed by police and this has, thankfully, failed to spark protest or much interest from local activists.
First, Kansas City politicos and law enforcement breathed a collective sigh of relief on Sunday when a carjacking suspect was shot dead and it was QUICKLY revealed to an angry public that the guy was white. In fact, that's the first time we've ever seen the Mayor of Kansas City assure locals regarding the racial identity of a police shooting victim.
The interesting part of the Sunday story was watching all of the interest quickly fade from an angry mob of social media activists once the race of the suspect was broadcast. All of the concern about police brutality, accountability and transparency disappeared more quickly than toilet paper from store shelves in the early part of 2020.
Yesterday afternoon near Lawrence, Ks. police killed another white dude murder suspect after a chase and shootout. Again, local media was quick to notify the public of the victim's race. No rioting or public concern was elicited.
And then, a sad report from Missouri features a very cute working-class white lady recently killed during a police stop.
In fairness, her story has garnered national attention thanks mostly to her family's concern that allegations about her behavior during the traffic stop seem totally out of character and unlikely.
But again, despite the tragedy, nobody is going to burn down a fast food restaurant for her . . . And for the record, let's acknowledge that it looks like it might have been white ladies who burned down that Wendy's in Atlanta after protest over police killing Rayshard Brooks.
But don't get it twisted . . .
TKC thinks most advocacy is a long game con and whilst Tucker Carlson outrage over the rising power of the Black Lives Matter movement is really entertaining, it's still a bit farfetched.
The "All Lives Matter" retort to BLM has now been thoroughly debunked and seems as antiquated as claims of "reverse racism" or the trite phrase "some of my best friends are . . ." as a defense for silly misstatements.
Fact is, the American public has mostly signed on to Black Lives Matter agenda. Passionate discourse has convinced a growing number of people about the dangers that many African-Americans confront from law enforcement. Agree or disagree, there is no denying that the Black Lives Matter movement is now a part of the American mainstream.
Heck, some of the nation's best brands and tech giants are giving MILLIONS to the cause . . .
"Both Facebook and Amazon are donating $10 million to various groups that fight against racial injustice. Apple is pledging a whopping $100 million for a new Racial Equity and Justice Initiative that will "challenge the systemic barriers to opportunity and dignity that exist for communities of color, and particularly for the black community," according to Apple CEO Tim Cook."
Accordingly, given that our Internets community is the only real ALTERNATIVE news playground in Kansas City and a blog for scumbags of all sorts . . . We merely want to offer a public service for fellow lowlifes. Growing up, some of our very best friends were broke-ass white folks and it's important for THOSE PEOPLE to realize that nobody is going to protest or fight if they punch a cop, steal his weapon and get killed in the process. Choke holds and questionable shootings won't garner much attention if BLM doesn't take an interest and the group seems far too busy to protest EVERY police shooting.
And so, with the exception of some hippie about 2000 years ago, this post dares to argue that being a martyr is overrated. There is some solace in the fact that not every tragic death "matters" as lives of quiet desperation can be surprisingly liberating without enduring the cruel leering of partisan mobs looking for a new sacrifice. Even better, we can only hope our practical reality check about perceived value according to protesters gives INDIVIDUALS a reason to value their own lives above the horde of hacks looking to score political points on either side of the aisle. Interactions with police, spouses and the last remaining customer service transactions all require enduring some form of abuse and degradation. If not all lives matter equally to protesters, social media and MSM hack pundits, that gives scumbag denizens of TKC a reason to move beyond indefinitely kneeling in reverence to sacred fallen saints of a political movement. Instead, under the radar of "woke" culture, we can withstand our quotient of abuse and then stroll along in order to LIVE to fight another day for a cause that MATTERS in our own lives.
You decide . . .
