New York state: 57 police resign to support officers fired for shoving 75-year-old
More than 50 police officers in Buffalo have resigned in support of two colleagues who were suspended after video showed them shoving a 75-year-old peace activist to the ground who then cracked his head and was hospitalized with severe injuries. The resigning 57 officers comprised the entire Buffalo police department (BDP) emergency response team.
Local Control of the Police.
ReplyDeleteNo more police no more city stupid fucks
ReplyDeleteThose cops did what they were told to do, they told the old fart to get moving and instead he came towards them, maybe they were expecting more resistance from the geezer when they pushed him but it doesn’t matter now, he got what he deserved.
ReplyDeleteHe’s in the hospital, bleeding in his brain. What concerns me is not your total lack of empathy, but how you feel that an feeble old man walking towards police deserves to be punished with an injury so severe he could die.
DeleteI’m trying to really rationalize your point here and i honestly don’t see how this seems just reasonable. Is this how you want the police to respond in all cases?
What a bunch of "professionals" unable to put aside their egos they push down and walk over an old man. The the rest of the baby squad whines and quits, like tiny little babies. As police they believe they don't have to treat citizens with any respect. Given power that exceeds what is allowed in global warfare, tear gas, shotguns use is against the Geneva convention, yet the scared cat boys in blue have to have these weapons of mass destruction. The boys in blue still whine and cry like babies that the big black men scare them, all black men scare the police.
ReplyDeleteThe DUMB OLD SOB can't even maintain his balance and goes in Harm's Way and it's The Coppers' fault? Theater of the ABSURD! Actions have consequences, do something stupid and sometimes you pay a price.
ReplyDeleteMartin Gugino made a judgment to stay out after the curfew because he feels that our civil liberties are so in danger. Martin was breaking the law and how did officers not know he wasn't going to pull a weapon at the last minute and start shooting at them.
ReplyDeleteOld men can pull guns and start firing them.
Sad to see he was hurt but he placed himself in harms way by;
!. He ignored a lawful curfew.
2. He head on approached a police line under orders to clear the streets.
3. He clearly was reaching out at the officers and that was why he was shoved back.
Martin Gugino was a victim of his own making. This was also a set up to some extent as you have to be a fool to not noticed how well placed the camera man was to record it and who the camera man was with.
The old timer had no business being on the front lines without an escort. Doesn't he have children that could told him to stay away. You don't take children or elderly to places where they could get hurt. How did he plan on running if teargas for mace were used? It's obvious the old timer couldn't keep his balance under the best of circumstances.
ReplyDeleteWhen a curfew is in effect and you ignore it your deifying an order and as this man was very well doing. I'm more then sure he was told to turn around and go back.
ReplyDeleteDirect Police Orders During Curfew
A direct order from a law enforcement officer or public safety officer will trump a curfew law. These actions must be followed, or you will be breaking the law. Orders like "go inside" or "get out" or "get down" are safety instructions that you have to follow, even on your own property.
this incident is emblematic of what's wrong with the police.
ReplyDeletethose 57 resigned police should be fired and defunded, just as a starting marker in changing the police.
For What It's Worth, Buffalo Springfield
ReplyDeleteThere's something happening here
What it is ain't exactly clear
There's a man with a gun over there
Telling me I got to beware
I think it's time we stop, children, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
There's battle lines being drawn
Nobody's right if everybody's wrong
Young people speaking their minds
Getting so much resistance from behind
It's time we stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
What a field-day for the heat
A thousand people in the street
Singing songs and carrying signs
Mostly say, hooray for our side
It's s time we stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when you're always afraid
You step out of line, the man come and take you away
We better stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Stop, now, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Stop, children, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
BLM = Boomers Lives Matter
ReplyDeleteThey resigned from that unit, they didn't quit their jobs.
ReplyDeleteby the way folks, boomers know how to do a revolution, do don't get us riled up.
ReplyDeletefire their asses outa there!
ReplyDeleteDEFUND Buffalo bullies now!
ReplyDeleteWell, they're going to gave to fire people to get the money to settle this guy's lawsuit. Hope it's ten million plus.
ReplyDeleteRetired black Police Captain David Dorn, 77, shot by an unknown black assailant while guarding a friend's pawn shop wants you to know that boomers lives matter.
ReplyDelete8:43 is right. Don't fuck with old people. We know how to do things you can't imagine until it's too late.
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteThe geezer, Gugino, was a professional agitator, who charged into the cops.
got what he deserved
The guy caused his own injury. With the mask on, the police don't know if he is 55 or 75. Watched the whole video. 1. They barely touched the guy and he fell over, 2. Police supervisor immediately called EMT on his shoulder radio.
ReplyDeleteHe was a young fool then he was a middle aged fool and now he's an old fool. As a habitual leftist agitator he knew exactly what the risks of disobeying then confronting the police were. He got a gentle push, that's all, but he's as unstable physically as he is mentally, so he fell down and conked his head. It's on him.
ReplyDeleteWhy? Why was that necessary? Where was the threat?” asked the New York governor, Andrew Cuomo...
ReplyDeleteThat's the point, police are not allowed to use physical force that has a reasonable chance of causing injury except in response to a physical threat to themselves or others. That old guy posed no threat, especially since he was alone and the officer had dozens of fellow officers with him.
1010, true.
ReplyDeletethe guy looked like he was lost and subject to a "silver alert."
it's not helping him immediately after he fell that is stunning.
This vignette looks so fascist, like something out of a movie, not real life.
ReplyDeleteThe little, armed policemen were afraid of the big, unarmed old man.
ReplyDeleteHe wasn't even black.
If he were black, they would have continued their assault even after he fell.
BREAKING--two cops now arrested for assault.
ReplyDeleteD E F U N D B U F F A L O !
ReplyDeleteNow the whiny boys in blue have been charged with assault, and their union won't back them, that's why the 57 resigned from the srt unit, can't afford to cover these assholes with all the other law suits coming their way.
ReplyDelete9:50 +1000000000000
ReplyDeleteJesus bLIEron, do you even know how stupid you are, effing retard.
6:39 you’re an idiot
ReplyDeletebeware: if boomers join blm, it's going to be big.
ReplyDeletewhy would boomers join blm?
well, because we thought this battle had been fought and won and that things had changed. all of a sudden, it's rewind to the sixties' struggles.
boomers will always be leery of fascist-looking authority from their own experiences.
watch for this to see if it develops. you heard it here first.
Cuomo sensed right away that Buffalo looked really bad.
ReplyDeleteWatch the video from the acutal beginning (as opposed to just seeing the fall). The LONGTIME agitator directly and purposefully "got into the faces" of the Officers and (it looks to me) that with his right hand (holding a cellphone) was tapping the Officer (to his right) on his vest. I am 'sorry' (said with sarcasm), as far as I am concerned, unless you are a little kid, if you INSTIGATE (or attempt to instigate) physical contact AGAINST an Officer, you get what you get.
ReplyDeleteFor years, I have been sick and tired of "oh, he/she is JUST a teenager/'young man'/'young woman'"/"oh, he/she is JUST elderly" to excuse BAD/AGRESSIVE behavior.
I am of the opinion, the agitator wanted to provoke a response from the Officers and he GOT what he asked for in return. Also, I think he wanted (in the moment) to 'sell the fall'/embellish the contact result (SEE: NHL Rule 64...a.k.a. embellish/exaggerating) and he miscalculated and did not land the way he wanted.
I join the civilians, Officers and Firefighters who support the Officers and think the charges should be dropped and they should get their jobs back.
AND FOR THE RECORD, I find it crazy that Cuomo thinks he has ANY ROOM to talk about how the elderly should be treated by others when HE CAUSED MANY ELDERLY TO DIE in the pandemic due to HIS ORDER on nursing homes being FORCED (even when beds were available at Javits and on the Comfort) to take infected virus patients even if the patient had NEVER previously been a resident to that nursing home where they were being sent...IOW, I am waiting for Cuomo to be CHARGED on MULTIPLE MURDER 2 charges!!!
