  1. So the police can double dip their wages.

  2. Replacing any organization with an incompetent organization is wrong. Can't say how competent the airport police are but I do know about the KCPD.

  4. KCPD not off duty officers !

  5. Who ever is chosen to patrol KCI should certainly do better than to not notice a dead body in a parked car for weeks like happened a while ago.
In KCMO the bar for competence is regularly rather low.

  6. This should have happened years ago. KCI police are then worst paid and worst treated in the metro, by far. Ex-members of KCPD are assigned as command staff and treat the KCI officers like crap. McMullin was a piece of shit at KCPD so stands to reason he wouldn’t change.

KCPD should take over, raise the pay of the KCI staff and through attrition reduce KCI staff. Except the command staff at KCI. They should be fired for being cocksuckers.

  7. KCMO police is not the problem. The problem is the criminal population of the city who are asking for less police so that they can continue their crimes without interference.

  8. anybody who has flown out of kci has likely had an unpleasant encounter with their police.

  9. ^^well that excludes you CHUD, as you have never been anywhere.

  10. who polices wheeler?

  11. Last time this happened the FBI got called in because a Sgt was logging in hours both at KCPD and the airport at the same time.

  12. KCI operates from a different fund source than the City’s General Fund and these funds are protected by Federal statutes to keep the City from raiding the cash register. Follow the money trail on this one. KCPD will put the most senior (most expensive) officers at KCI to let them soak up the good life during the final years before retirement and have their salaries paid by KCI. KCFD is doing the same thing with the firefighters based at KCI too. St Louis recently gave the PD operation back to the Lambert airport because having SLPD at STL wasn’t worth the effort.

  13. KCMO should spin off KCI to be managed as an airport authority. Get the City Council’s fingers out of KCI’s pie!
