"According to the House administration records, Watkins has reported a total of $254,299 in communicating and advertising in the first quarter of this year. Some of it paid for a radio announcement on Watkins' support of the president's coronavirus agenda."

Watkins spending thousands in taxpayer funds on communication

U.S. Rep. Steve Watkins is in a tough primary fight to stay in office. Watkins is spending more taxpayer money communicating with Kansans than any other Kansas congressional member. Watkins is a first-term Republican representing east Kansas. He is facing state Treasurer Jake LaTurner in the Aug. 4 primary.

They all do it including Cleaver and Davids but KMBC and Mahoney have never done stories about it so this is clearly a case of biased reporting.

Watkins is a whoppin' piece of excrement though. The KS GOP should really disavow him.
