  2. ^^^
    True.
    And decrease investment by 75%.
But worth it to show how woke, politically correct, and ideologically-drive the morons at 12th and Oak are.
It's truly amazing that in a little burg of almost half a million residents, it continues to appear impossible to elect 13 adults to govern the city.
KCMO drags down the entire region and its corrosive influence is only accelerating with the latest mayor and clowncil and their upside-down priorities, terrible decisions, and cowardice.
    Sad.

  5. “Kansas City poised to adopt the most efficient building code in the country”

“I cannot say at this point if the votes are there to adopt 2021 over 2018 because we haven’t had those discussions with all of the council members.”

Sums up how kc officials operate on a daily basis right there. Nobody knows nuttin.

  6. So this is all about energy efficiency?

The same energy efficiency that doesn’t pay for itself because it’s way too expensive?

Here’s a pro tip and i won’t charge you a penny for it, are you ready? Insulate your attic and caulk around the gaps of your windows.

    Easy peasy people.

  8. I'm a retired construction manager, Project Manager, Construction Supt, Carpenter, laborer. I did it all. Architects are not all greenie rainbow brite dolls. They think this is ridiculous. One told me once that they were being told to build walk in freezers. He's right. Such tight buildings fail to allow bad air to breath out of the building. We create a lot of bad air. You end up building sick buildings. Then there is the significant cost increase. They will mostly price KCMO subdivisions out of a large percentage of potential buyers. Future in fill home building will price urban buyers out of the market. All this means affordable housing just gets scarcer and scarcer. Greenies don't care. They want us all to live in tents.

  12. Maybe this means there's a chance for the Cleave to bring back a second round of the "Green Impact Zone".
You might remember that boondoggle that showered millions of federal dollars on the notion that scores of unemployed people would be trained and put to work making private houses more energy efficient.
All disappeared into the usual thin air.
But all Cleaver can do is to shovel federal money into the pockets of family, friends, supporters, and the usual east side grifters, so this could be another chance for everyone to cash in.
Be sure to get yours off the top!
