Get ready for more demonstrations this week against racism and police brutality spreading across the metro. This week, marches are planned in downtown Overland Park, Prairie Village and Lee's Summit. Over the weekend, Johnson County saw its first demonstration in support of Black Lives Matter when around 150 protesters gathered outside of Shawnee City Hall to call for change following the killing of George Floyd.

The Springfield-Greene County Health Department said Monday the incubation period has passed for people potentially exposed to the coronavirus at a Springfield, Missouri, Great Clips salon and nobody tested positive for COVID-19.The health department said the results include clients and coworkers."This is exciting news about the value of masking to prevent COVID-19," Springfield-Greene County Health Department director Clay Goddard said in a news release.

President Donald Trump lashed out at a CNN poll on Monday that showed presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden with a 14-point lead. But in contrast to past claims that the polls are "fake," Trump this time said that he retained a pollster, John McLaughlin, to examine the CNN and other polls from ABC and NBC.

White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany called out CNN hosts Chris Cuomo and Don Lemon for their recent rhetoric about violent protests during Monday's news briefing. A reporter asked if President Trump was sorry for the way peaceful protestors have been treated, as the nation has been flooded with protests, which have sometimes turned violent, since George Floyd's Memorial Day death in police custody.
