Mahomes embracing role as NFL figurehead, using position to advocate voter registration
As the face of the NFL, Patrick Mahomes has a unique opportunity to spark change, and Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback said he plans on using his newfound voice to address racial inequality, not just in the league, but also throughout the country."I'm blessed to have this platform, why not use it?"
Talks too much.
ReplyDeleteYou are rich, pampered and full of yourself.
Go and play football.
200 Million dollars makes activism easy.
ReplyDeleteMachines is oppressed. Look at what Whites have done to him.
ReplyDeleteIncluding giving birth to him,the oppression runs deep
DeleteF--k the Chiefs and NFL stay out of politics. Ban any player that participates openly in politics of any type.
ReplyDeleteSad sad sad; a kid makes good, becomes a great success and then makes stupid decisions to say stupid stuff; just because you CAN say something doesn't mean your SHOULD; best to keep your mouth shut and not alienate more than half the population. Opinions are best kept to yourself, really ashamed of you!
ReplyDelete^^Why don't you take your own advice CHUD? You see the irony there don't you? Imbecile.
ReplyDeleteAnd yet he is right. Weird.
ReplyDeleteMahomes has been pampered by everyone through high school and college, $200 million salary, white wife, entire city that adored him but he wants to insult whites with the oppression, racism and white privilege narrative. Wow; I wish someone would oppress me like that.
ReplyDeletePatrick if you feel so strong about this, talk to Clark Hunt about returning $250 million in Jackson County property tax money paid by the Kansas City working class poor of all races to renovate and make improvements to Arrowhead Stadium each year.
ReplyDelete$250 million a year would feed, clothe, and educate thousands of underprivileged people of all color in Kansas City.
Lower ticket prices so the poor people paying the property taxes can actually to a Chiefs game.
Totally agree there is still economic injustice for people of color. However, when billionaire / millionaire hypocrites like Mahomes, Hunt and the other Chiefs are taking from the poor; I have no use for their hypocritical preaching.
This.
DeleteNFL Ticket Price = $200
ReplyDeleteNFL Chiefs Parking = $60
Coca Cola at Chiefs Game = $10
Sure, the NFL and the Chiefs are very concerned about the poor and underprivileged as they line their pockets taking money from Jackson County taxpayers that could be used to enhance social services, street and infrastructure repair for Kansas Citians.
Question: How many poor and underprivileged Jackson County taxpayers (family of four) can actually attend a Chiefs game at those prices totaling $850 for one game?
Answer: None.
The Chiefs are the epitome of "privilege".
^^Don't hate bitch! Chiefs are world champs baby! They're doing something right!
ReplyDelete^ That Super Bowl win sure did a lot for the city; more divided than ever.
ReplyDeleteDid that Super Bowl win help your economic status; pay your property taxes, your electric bill, buy more groceries ? Didn't think so.
That boy needs to just STFU.
ReplyDeleteOld white people up in arms over an uppity black man. "How dare he? He's rich so he shouldn't say shit!" SMDH.
ReplyDeleteWhite lives matter, fag
DeleteMahomes carries a lot, I mean a lot of water in this town. You old white turds carry none. He's everything you wish you were; young, rich, successful and famous. Plus he's a great person. You CHUD's are bottom of the barrel. He wins!
ReplyDeleteOh Chimpster, you're just a disgusting jock-sniffer wacko, wearing that smelly fake autographed jersey #15. Nobody cares what you say, silly monkey.
DeleteThe guy has more shoes than Imelda Marcos.
ReplyDeleteYou were blessed with the talent to throw a ball accurately while running out of the pocket. That makes you an entertainer. It does not give you a platform. Keep politics out of sports. If Mahoney wants to run for political office who should retire from the NFL.
ReplyDeleteTOP PHOTO -- SLAVE TO NIKE
ReplyDeleteBlack slaves were brought to the American South to support an agrarian mercantilist system focused upon labor exploitation for wealth creation.
In 2020, approximately 70% of NFL players are Black. The average salary for all quarterbacks is nearly $6 million dollars.
As this pampered 24-year-old college dropout and privileged son of a professional athlete poses in front of his shoe collection, please note 1) he's NOT protesting an economic system that allowed the NFL to exist as a tax-exempt non-profit until 2015, 2) he's not protesting that a White Dallas billionaire owns the KC Chiefs and receives corporate welfare via taxpayers, and 3) he's completely silent on the White billionaire-owned Nike corporation exploiting Asian female labor to make their shoes!!!
If the shoe fits, Mahomes will wear it...for a price.
^^OK Boomer.
ReplyDeletethis from a 1/2 black guy who with many other black men were just paraded around the city DRINKING BEER ON PUBLIC STREETS. throwing things and littering to name a few. O the injustice.
ReplyDelete"OK Boomer," “Geezer” or another variation used in a disparaging tone = the new N-word equivalent phrase that tries to diminish and dehumanize the elderly and make them sound stupid in a “hip” way. Imagine if people started saying, "OK N****r." Age discrimination and elder abuse are alive and well in America, and these issues are as disgusting, shameful and wrong as racism.
ReplyDeleteWe must demand he donate his salary to BLM.
ReplyDeleteFuck this noise. I never understood the appeal of grown men wearing a jersey of another man, either. Who gives a shit? Of course the NFL poster boy has to toe in line with the current sentiment. Durrr. Jock sniffers are gay anyway. You know, why don't you plebs protest why our taxes go to funding a fucking sports complex when the Hunt family and the franchises makes millions? But no, my pleb ass likes to spend $60 on parking and drink every Sunday. Fuck off.
ReplyDeleteI don't agree with the message, but Mahomes is using his platform as a very popular player correctly.
ReplyDeleteHe's doing nothing, not expressing his opinion on the field (unlike Kapernick).
I think he's doing it right.
Buy, again, I don't agree with his message.
^^Who cares if you agree or not CHUD? It's not for you. Why should he have to stick to sports when you cretins don't?
ReplyDeleteJock sniffers wearing a jersey with another man's name on the back is gay.
ReplyDeleteSpending $400 to go to a Chiefs game to root for multi-millionaires that hate you is stupid.
I leaned over the railing, and, and the player actually gave me a high-five............I'm so part of the team now.
Multi-millionaire NFL players are the victims of systematic racism. Right.
ReplyDeleteThe NFL victims can go fuck themselves.
ReplyDeleteThis guy needs to look around there is no inequality just look at what the blacks have done and who they just killed. I'm sure his mother is hurt by this crap. If this guy doesn't keep his mouth shut and stop race baiting I'm going to publish his address everywhere! Shut Up race baiter!
I knew this guy was no good the first time I laid eyes on him! Biracial people are the worst they become black when it suits them otherwise they are white.
Kneeling on company time is like an employer letting an employee flip off the CEO every day when he or she comes into the office and not get fired. This is kneeling on the company time, not personal time. There's a huge difference. The teams will lose a lot of fans who are proud of this country quickly by disrespecting the flag that so many fought and died for. Next, we'll have a vegan referee and a vegan first-down marker holder take a knee to protest the serving of meat at NFL games. When are they going to kneel for the over 7,000 black men killed by other black men every year?
ReplyDeleteIn the U.S., nine unarmed black men were shot by police officers, while 20 unarmed white men were shot in 2019. Unarmed doesn't necessarily mean they weren't trying to take the officer's gun, or choke or beat them, so these figures might be skewed a bit. Yet, contrast those figures with about 7,000 black men killed in the U.S. by other black men. One category of deaths brings a lot of money to the NACCP, BLM and other groups when it occurs, and the other category doesn't. Like most things in life, follow the money.
ReplyDeleteHe should've stuck to hawking ketchup
ReplyDeleteMahomes is entitled to say whatever he wants.
ReplyDeleteBut saying you are oppressed with a $200 million salary, saying you are a victim of systematic racism but choose to live in a white neighborhood is kind of disingenuous.
Throw in the fact you make your victim hood narrative while sitting in front of your collection of five hundred pairs of Nike's shoes makes your narrative even more over the top. Hard to take him seriously.
Mahomes probably has Andy making his bed right now.
Patty boy,
ReplyDeleteNone of the black people that you are verbally supporting can afford tickets to your games.
You have the money, hotshot.
Buy some huge blocks of tickets and give them away to disadvantaged black people. And if they even have a car, pay for the parking.
Until you do that: Shut the fuck up.
Patty Cakes looks like he is being held hostage against his will in his master bedroom closet. Someone call 911! Oh wait, Patty Cakes doesn't like the police. Call Clark Kent Hunt to save Patty Cakes.
ReplyDeletePatty Cakes: Ma, where's my Nikes !?!?!?
ReplyDeleteMom: There right behind you silly.
ReplyDeleteTell Patrick Mahomes that a minister in Ghana is petitioning black people to come back. I just thought I'd put that out there in case he wanted to leave. Some black people are leaving and taking advantage of it and a lot of people are willing to help with money and whatever they need to leave.
Patty Cakes, you appear to be held hostage in your closet by white racists.
ReplyDeleteIf this is true, blink twice which indicates "Yes" in Morse code.
We will send the KCPD to rescue you.
I've only seen Patrick Mahomes speaking away from the NFL, go Patrick!
ReplyDeleteHis message is wrong. Black people are not treated unfairly by the police. Likewise, black people are not murdered indesrimenemtly by the police.
Equal opportunity does not mean equal outcome. Sorry.
I am a good person. I got where I am in a way available to everyone; I spent 30 yesrs in the Marine Corps.
Was it easy? Not really. But I did it, and now I receive a monthly retÃrement check. No one else is entitled to any of that $. Now, if I choose to share some, that's my baby prerogative. But black people who haven't done something similar are not entitled to anything,
You will inevitably be disappointed when you make sports people your heroes.
ReplyDeleteYet he doesn't date a black girl. White folk not even supposed to wear braids due to cultural inappropriate. Or eat Tacos. Weird
ReplyDelete^^^ 7 :17 Nailed it. Zeros made into Heroes. By Losers that a need a Hero, as they are lame dick sucks. Why Lie ?
