KANSAS CITY STAR NEWSFLASH: ANGRY DUDE KNOCKED ON COURTHOUSE DOOR!!!
Here's the newspaper attempting to take control of the narrative in the fight betwixt the Prosecutor vs. The Po-Po . . .
And again, whilst the scintillating deets of a door knock might be newsworthy . . . It's doubtful that there's value to this story for paying subscribers.
Here's our fair use quote and link for purposes of education, discourse and parody . . .
Man upset about KCPD officer’s indictment tries to break door at prosecutor’s office
"Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker closed her offices at the downtown courthouse Friday morning after a man, who said he was upset that a grand jury indicted a Kansas City police detective, showed up screaming and yelling and tried to break into an office door.
"No one was harmed and Jackson County sheriff’s deputies removed the man from the courthouse, said Michael Mansur, a spokesman for Baker. The man was not arrested."
Behind the paywall we notice there's no mention that EVERYBODY has to pass through a metal detector in order to get inside the courthouse. So, he was cleared by security at some point.
He was also armed only with a mobile phone.
No word of any damage to the door despite the so-called "break-in" attempt.
There's quick mention of the weird dude claiming that he would be "coming back with 100 veterans" but no word if one of many loudmouths inside the loop was a veteran.
All things considered, this kerfuffle is one of many oddities near 12th & Oak - Scary but not the scariest we've heard of by far . . .
