Family requests larger role in Satchel Paige House restoration project

Renovations have started on baseball legend Leroy "Satchel" Paige's former Kansas City residence in a historic preservation effort that includes city and neighborhood backing, historic preservation, and restoration grant. But Paige's family, who live in town, say they want to be included in the planning process and have co-ownership moving forward.

  1. What about the house of the "Richest BLACK girl in History ", while her little house falls apart. IN that neighborhood, it will probably burn by the protesters pissed she was RICH and not a basic bitch.

    A: Arson!!!

Where are all the protestors who were marching on the Plaza?

  5. Paige family just wants money. Where have they been for 20 years? They have had decades to buy the house, but now want to exploit the good work of others. Shameless and transparent.

  6. No. The family has a right to be heard especially if some shyster is trying to use the house for notoriety that would only come from using the Satchel Paige name. Without it, the hone really has no value beyond basic market value. Don't get grants using other peoples names that you have no right to! Shame on the asshole trying to monetize somebody else's legacy. It belongs to the family.

  7. 3:30 maybe they do a some interest, but read between the lines....they want money on Dad's name and say so in the restoration but haven't had any interest in doing anything about it until now
