As homicide numbers in Kansas City, Missouri, outpace the last four years, a south Kansas City Crime and Safety Town Hall Saturday addressed the issue of rising violence.Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas, Jackson County Sheriff Darryl Forte, community groups and police officers joined the virtual discussion.

  1. All you had to say was forte and everybody just laughed at them. Why is forte suddenly so interested in kc’s murder and crime problem, he had his chance to do something and all he did was turn off his phone and disappear for weeks on end only to get a $500,000 payday for doing nothing.

  3. KC has a crime problem but you keeping voting the same radicals in every election. Jean peters Baker just let gangs destroy KC and said she won't press charges. Lucas your mayor did the same thing. So you don't have any right to bitch about crime or have any type of crime fighting organization. Keep your mouth shut and deal with what you have created.

    dept. and send out social workers when a violent crime is in progress.

  5. Lucas sitting in on this total waste of time evokes visions of Rome burning as Nero fiddles. He is only one of several more than disappointing "leaders" sitting in their little Zoom rooms dispensing worthless advice and subtle hate messages to keep the masses riled up. Nothing to see here, move along sheeple.
