KCMO restaurants see mixed results during reopening

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - As Kansas City-area restaurants begin to reopen, some are having more success than others. "Best practice restaurant. Try to guarantee the safety of our guests, and the safety of our employees," Vic Allred, Jazz Louisiana Kitchen owner, said. Allred's establishment on 39th Street is going the extra mile to guarantee that safety.

  1. The way the 20 somethings are acting that likely work in these restaurants it's not surprising. Screw em all.

  4. Restaurants should consider having an social distancing section of a restaurant, much like a smoking section of a restaurant. So you could go into a restaurant and pick either social distancing or non social distancing seating. That way you leave it up to the customer to pick what he wants. Seemed to work with smoking non-smoking restaurants. Then you post a sign on your door that says, this is a non social distancing restaurant so people will be warned before they come in that way they could choose.

  5. No restaurant can guarantee safety in the city, any place that stays there are fools. White people have been killed way to often and you never know what will set a black person off. They are not normal and don't mix well in society. Take a look around they closed the malls they ruined the Plaza, Westport and crossroads. Very sick people very sick.

  6. ^^and yet Westport, the Plaza and Crossroads are all fine places. Stay scared shithead. Weird.

  7. I don't have a problem with white folks losing money, we need to level the playing field anyway.

  8. You sound like a big baby and a racist. Get a job and then maybe you can have money too. It's not complex for most people of all colors.

  9. "OK Boomer" or another variation used in a disparaging tone = the new N-word equivalent phrase that tries to diminish and dehumanize the elderly and make them sound stupid in a “hip” way. Imagine if people started saying, "OK N****r." Age discrimination and elder abuse are alive and well in America, and these issues are as disgusting, shameful and wrong as racism.

    1. Okay Boomer is not even remotely close to using the N-word. The fact that you can say Boomer but have to say N word proves that they dont carry the same weight. One you can actually say and the other you have to find some nice way to say it. Nice try.

  10. "Level the playing field" -- Only a loser says such things.

  13. Ok B-word is almost exactly like using the N-word. Both infer a deep seated and irrational prejudice on the part of the user. Treat your elders with the same respect you would reserve for people of color as old lives matter too.

    1. Well the snowflake boomers have finally gone off the deep end. We need some classes in being a little more resilient if you think a targeted hate speech, aka the n word, is equivalent to “boomer.”

So you’re not only a boomer, but also a karen.
