A Look Back At Three Weeks Of Black Lives Matter Protests In Kansas City
The early protests against police brutality the weekend of May 29 in Kansas City were huge, with thousands of people and mostly peaceful. Some protesters tossed angry words at the police, but little else. That was by day. Things amped up at night. Protesters took a more aggressive stance against the police.
if it keeps one person from getting killed by police. It was worth it.
ReplyDeleteTwo people were murdered a few blocks from the plaza during the riots. Guess you don’t care about them
Delete6:09 doesn't care about anyone but herself.
DeleteYet one can guarantee that blacks will kill many in KCMO, with or without any protests , reason, concern or a peep from these same people. Would that be fact ? Weird
ReplyDeletePublic t.v. and radio needs to no longer be funded by taxpayers.
ReplyDeleteKCPT and KCUR like all PBC outlets are Democrat Party mouthpieces. No objectivity.
With 500 t.v. and radio stations with varying genre's, it's insane to continue funding these entities. Use the tax money to feed the homeless instead.
ReplyDelete"Mostly Peaceful" is nearly as accurate as "a little bit pregnant."
This is reporting in the proud tradition of Pravda.

Deleteare the protests over?
ReplyDeleteand, if so, are plaza restaurants open yet?
everybody is skeptical of media these days, for good reason.
ReplyDeleteHistorians of the future, boiling acorns over their campfires (a nice accompaniment to cattail tubers and milkweed pods in a squirrel-tail reduction), will marvel that the Democrats back in the woeful year 2020 thought that burning down the country would be a winning election strategy. Has anyone been fooled by the party’s straight-up support, comfort, and incitement of this season’s looting and arson?
ReplyDeleteWhere's my fucking fish sticks ?????
ReplyDeleteSleepy Joe Biden
^^^ Okay, that one made me laugh!
ReplyDeleteIf the entire globe is responding by saying they not only stand with the US, but they admit they've ignored the same issue as well, how does it make any sense whatsoever to pretend like Kansas City is somehow immune? I'm white and live at 38th and Wyandotte. My neighborhood was an actual militarized police state during the protests, which it doesn't seem like most of you experienced based on your ridiculous assumptions regarding "riots". I wasn't afraid of any of the protestors, they are rightfully angry over rampant corruption in our city. From a logical standpoint, it seems the rest of the city should be upset about local government/police corruption as well, but all I see in your comments is fear and hatred. There are MANY hardworking, white, taxpaying people who live in neighborhoods all over this area that could verify to you that what the mainstream media showed you all in the suburbs and rural areas was watered down and skewed to favor police. This is actually an accurate story. The lie is what you've been fed for the last 3 weeks about "riots".
ReplyDeleteAnd yet so many have lost businesses and property due to these enlightened non-rioters around the country.
DeleteStop lying.
Um, Pollyanna at 38th and Wyandotte, when you say you are upset about rampant corruption, does that mean the corruption at the Jackson Co Prosecutor’s Office? The same one who indicted a police officer for manslaughter when the guy that was shot pulled a gun on the officers and that gun was found directly below the hand of the dead man. That’s some corruption for you.
DeleteDon't leave any valuables in your car 38th & Wyandotte. Also don't walk alone at night unless you want to get a gun stuck in your face by your friends east of Troost.
Delete640, it was amazing to see how the movements abroad, started as follow-ons, morphed to incorporate their own nations' recent histories of racial and police problems.
ReplyDeleteRacism is the hugest global issue simply because historically, speaking up has only caused more violence against the people being oppressed (precisely like what the scared suburbanites and rural dwellers are calling riots). Is it not entirely plausible based both on US history, as well as global history, that what's being touted on this blog as a "rewriting" of what happened, could actually be a truer, more unbiased version? It's jolting to the senses to consider, but government corruption has created these types of situations for centuries.
ReplyDeleteNo. The histrionic tantrums and riots and bullshit about racism is a smokescreen in place of economic and social issues that are really worthy of discussion.
DeleteLike crime, and who is actually murdering all these black men.
Hint: It's black men.
6:40 - Really - so explain the burning KSHB-41 SUV set on fire and other vehicles, broken Plaza store windows, a murder (or more) during the protests / riots? Frozen water bottles, rocks, and bricks thrown at police and television camera crews.
ReplyDeleteOur eyes did not deceive us.
Also, when did the protests become about government corruption as you allege? Are you saying Mayor Slie James, Mayor Quentin Lucas, City Council members are corrupt and should go to jail? Please explain.
Many blacks did not have to go to work today-
ReplyDeleteHa, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha
So, the things my family and neighbors and their families lived through means nothing to any of you, either? What we saw and witnessed and experienced isn't valid because of what you saw on your television? Yes, I live in what you all think is the ghetto, but we're proud of neighborhoods here, and we're a tight-knit community. We also can palpably feel the fear you all exude when you're down here. You show us all the time you're scared of even the white people that don't look like you suburbanites who only come down here to party and experience the "culture". And as for corruption, Kansas City was built on corruption, that is historical fact. The current government formed only after Tom Pendergast was federally indicted and sent to prison following his years of corrupt "leadership". You mean to tell me a government formed in 1939 after the feds busted up the party only because the governor of Missouri got his feelings hurt by Pendergast is NOT corrupt? We haven't changed a damn thing since. You all get representation in your cushy little lives watching fabricated news stories that you believe so wholeheartedly when the truth comes your way you attack people who actually experienced what it's saying.
ReplyDeleteSo all of those people who lost homes and businesses were just lying. Got it.
DeleteGot any hot takes on who killed JFK?
only about 3% work anyhow. Who ya kiddin?
ReplyDelete@7:01 - Pollyanna here, although, I don't know why you think I'm female. Um, yes. The entire lot is corrupt and has been since Kansas City was founded. We've been played by a power hungry govt/police/media trifecta. I know it's hard to swallow, but this is actually true right up to the White House. The government has just so successfully pitted us against each other that we haven't paid attention. It's honestly the epitome of gaslighting. We'll see what the UN Council has to say after they do a full scale investigation into the United States human rights violations, though.
ReplyDeleteInteresting, so now we only believe people who weren't there and only saw and read things? And, it's still all the black people doing all the shit even though in the posted article it tells you flat out it's 5 white dudes who torched the car? Also, could I point out that you're all being manipulated by the presentation of the article itself right here on the blog? The snippets pulled are intentionally chosen to make it appear the article doesn't report an accurate story, with even the "little else was thrown" shocker quote, intended to incite and fuel anger, actually stating little else was thrown DURING THE DAY. Does anyone in Missouri actually read anymore?
ReplyDeleteAccording to recent polls- liberal protesters admit to spending AT LEAST 6 hours a day on their devices and usually average 8 or more hours a day.
ReplyDeleteScientists have said brain changes and suicide are prevalent with 3+ hours a day on devices with suicides increasing 85% with 6 or more hours.
Lesson? Read the tea leaves and you see why they become violent.
^^^ the white dude had the lighter and the black dude put the burning object in the car, I know, I saw the actual video that was played on all the news channels.
ReplyDeleteSo much for that lie, facts are a bitch.
^wrong car dipshit, but nice try
ReplyDeleteIt's the psychology of the liberal protestors that incited violence? I thought it was black people?
ReplyDeleteherp derrrrr...it was on the internets and the telervishion so it must be true. don't worry bessie, i got this here shotgun to save us when the blacks come fer our stuffs
ReplyDeleteWell, just looking at the crime data, it's not unlikely. A shotgun is a great idea for home defense.
DeleteHeard the average is over 9 hours a day and 750+ pickups a day.
ReplyDeleteSad. Not very productive and brain washing to the point of no return/recovery.
Such is the life of a non- productive liberal.
Just vote for old old Joe Biden and I guess your life achievement is fulfilled.
I'd venture to guess it's not just liberals with screen stats like that. That argument is as absurd as the tinfoil hatters.
ReplyDeleteIs is a requirement that to work for public radio or tv, one must be a flaming homosexual? Kind of looks that way.
ReplyDeleteSomeone recently said that the main stream media has to preface protests with, "mostly peaceful." Well, you know who else are mostly peaceful? Cops. I want the main stream media to start prefacing the word, "cops" with "mostly peaceful" and see how that affects the left's narrative.
ReplyDeleteRecent research shows liberals consume 78% of all bandwidth that is used on social media.
ReplyDeleteChina and Russia both work to aggregate numbers with libs to skew polling data.
This means a Trump landslide.
As lib and bleeding hearts use the data and screen time- their brains morph and critical thinking becomes less than stellar.
The solution is to put down screen time and spend it on family and working out.
Or help elect Trump by FB usage.

7:32 so the media ignored the koloreds burning a vehicle and focused on the “supposed” white people burning a car? Why would the lame stream media do that dipshit?
ReplyDelete^^^Journalists practice little bits of dishonesty all the time, so that they'll be trained and ready when it's time to be totally dishonest about big things.
