Kansas City Parks Board Summer Game 2020: Denouncing Rich, Racist, Dead White Man Who Built Country Club Plaza

Here's another peek at this collection of activists and speakers arguing with a ghost whilst forgetting that the long gone mogul was supported by the entire city in his endeavors and didn't really invent anything . . . He only catered to a demand that was ALREADY firmly in place and still exists if the demographics of neighborhoods on BOTH sides of Troost are any indication.

  1. You cannot go around renaming things. Build something new if you want to name it. The orginal builders have naming rights. Man this stuff is getting stupid.

  2. Well they have managed to replant racism in everyones mind. Now it's time to set it on fire. A race that has accomplished next to nothing feels slighted, screw em do something and build something yourselves. Bunch of lazy complainers.

Your really old and decrepit aren't you?

  5. Why not name it something the young ones can relate to,

like Facebook Fountain and Twitter Parkway.

  6. because we say in America that the American dream is home ownership. He kept people like me outside of home ownership,” Taylor said.

Hahahaha so why are there thousands of empty homes in the urban core now the city can't even give away for $1?

  7. Move the fountain to a part of town that appreciates its history and respects its namesake. Turn the Plaza into a jungle.

  8. All successful people are at stake. Pussy Millenials, drug based losers and the minorities that choose the excuse of discrimination vs do life- all need to win the race. No way they are going to do it on work ethics, morals or personal achievements. " Rich " and "racist " is anyone that doesn't lay in stagnant waste and make blame for non achievement. Watch the basement boys and crackheads type. Hello Byron . Weird

  11. "OK Boomer," “Geezer” or another variation used in a disparaging tone = the new N-word equivalent phrase that tries to diminish and dehumanize the elderly and make them sound stupid in a “hip” way. Imagine if people started saying, "OK N****r." Age discrimination and elder abuse are alive and well in America, and these issues are as disgusting, shameful and wrong as racism.

  12. How bout Unicorn Fountain!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Renaming and tearing down inanimate objects isn't going to help more black fathers stay with their children so the children don't have a 20 times increase in going to prison (same stat for all races without a father) or the more than 7,000 black-on-black murders each year in the U.S.

Getting a job of any kind, working hard, not breaking the law and loving your family is a much better recipe for a honorable and decent life.

  14. BLM is racist and no one is doing anything about that! The democrats fought for slavery and no one is doing anything about that.

    ReplyDelete
  15. ^^Because that was over 160 years ago you stupid Boomer. I think they all dead now like you will be soon. Stupid Boomer.

You seem to be missing a brain and a verb here.

  20. Put a fork in the Plaza.

Convert the Plaza fountain into an outdoor urinal to befit a shit-hole like Kansas City.

    ReplyDelete
  21. And how long ago was J.C. Nichols? Seventy years? Be consistent. If you can excuse one because of the time past, then be equally charitable to the other.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Attempting to erase history to appease modern sensibilities is a losing proposition. Sensibilities will continue to change, and what should be the inerring facts and lessons of history are doomed to the wastebin.

Think of history in a fashion similar to the progressive interpretation of the constitution. The manner in which a historical figure existed should be judged by the prevailing moral and ethical standards that existed within his time period.

    ReplyDelete
  23. If JC Nichols was a racist, then take his name off street signs which are publically financed.

I never was a fan of the Plaza as I thought the patrons and owners were pretentious snobs.

    ReplyDelete
  24. ^^and you never had any money to buy anything there either. CHUD.

    ReplyDelete
  25. What if the policies advocated by the lefties are actually the root cause of the black achievement gap?

    ReplyDelete
  26. CHUD = Person with a 401K.

They should rename that fountain to James Earl Ray Fountain and James Earl Ray Blvd.

Every last reel of Gone with the Wind will be melted down for guitar picks. And get this, Whitey: Uncle Ben is no kin to you and never was!

  30. Let's just write all black people in this country a check for $1,000,000. Totally worth it if we never have to hear another word about racism.

  31. No one remembers J.C. Nichols for his alleged racism. They remember him for how much he contributed to Kansas City. MLK was never even in Kansas City. What did he contribute that you could point to?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Pretty much everyone from that era was "racist". Most people still are whether they admit it or not.

    1. No, they’re not. But it’s easier to paint everyone with a broad brush and brand everyone a racist than be thoughtful and discerning. Obviously, you are neither.

  33. Name it after Hiram Revels, first Black elected to Congress. A republican, of course.

    ReplyDelete
  34. 12 % of the population has now become half the people in TV commercials and 90 % of whats wrong with this country. Black people need to grow up, the world is getting tired of holding your lazy hand.

    Sleepy Joe Biden

  36. You have to forgive "10:35 CHUD Guy"

As a young lad; he had to deep-throat his Grandpa behind the woodshed during visits to the family farm.

After their horseplay behind the woodshed, CHUD guy and Grandpa would go watch Matlock.

Made CHUD guy a bitter young man with a constant tickle in his larynx.

  37. Didn't they already do this in detroit, Baltimore, east st Louis, compton..tried and true methods of a thriving city.

    ReplyDelete
  38. We can't go around renaming things? Remember Sandstone Amphitheater? Corporations do this shit all the time, and no one bats an eye, but have it threaten your precious whiteness and you all go apeshit. You're exposing yourselves as the racists you are, while simultaneously denying racist lives here. Which is it?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. You seem to forget the fountain was a gift. When corporations pay to name something, they generally get to name it. And when a family gifts a fountain to be named after a family member, it tends to keep that name. So no, you idiot, renaming doesn’t happen “all the time” and until you learn how things work, why don’t you STFU?!

  39. 6:14 pegged it , 7:44 showed how a whiner sloth performance slack of shit responds. Are you sure that it is not your life that is a failure ? not the other person you attacked. Weird

  41. They need to call it Trump Parkway and Trump Fountain because he lowered African American unemployment to record low levels. He was the only president with the business brain needed to get the economy going again after failures by Bush and Obama, whom I voted for, BTW.

  42. As a black man on Juneteenth, I don't think the white race is the sole source of the problem. If you look in the mirror and think "I am not part of the problem" then you probably are.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Philosophical question for Juneteenth. Is America better off or worse off as a result of slavery?

    ReplyDelete
  44. It is still Sandstone Amphitheater and it is still the Broadway Bridge. My eye bats at changes that I don’t buy into.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Nobody cares about the Plaza or Kansas City anymore so rename the fountain whatever fills your heart desires.

Won't stop the homicides in the urban area, fatherless families, drug use, assaults, robberies, rapes, out of control schools etc. but it sure will show J.C. Nichols a thing or two while he sleeps in his casket. He's going to be really pissed !

    ReplyDelete
  46. You might want to rename Famous Amos Cookies while you are at it.

Maybe re-brand to Famous Anus Cookies to be politically correct.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Did anyone notice that these so called meetings are in the hood? Whitey ain’t allowed in these dangerous neighborhoods. If you get only kolored people at these meetings then the results will be skewed in their favor. If they truly want the whole cities input then they’ll have multiple meetings where whitey can voice their opinions in a safe part of town, otherwise it’s just koloreds pissing and moaning as usual.

    ReplyDelete
  48. "1,000 acres, restricted!"
