KANSAS CITY NEIGHBORHOODS CONFRONT FIREWORKS HAZARD AS CORONAVIRUS CANCELS DISPLAYS!!!

This Summer, fireworks stands are one of the few places still doing a brisk biz as locals are literally burning through their federal stimulus money.

Listen closely and locals can already hear a few party people popping off fireworks into the night . . . To be fair, some of that notice might be gunshots.

However . . .

KANSAS CITY FIREWORKS ARE BLOWING UP STREETS THIS SUMMER 2020!!!

It doesn't really matter, and never has, that these small time explosions are prohibited within city limits. Illegal fireworks are a cowtown tradition and this year there will be a surge in celebrating American Independence Day by way of cheap Chinese pyrotechnics.

As always, there's a lot of blame to go around and these links offer a good roundup of the situation . . . Checkit:

  1. The bums are starting early this year.

July 4th is weeks away and they're already at it.

    1. The fireworks are mostly harmless, don't really care about them. It's the celebratory gunfire that is the real danger. That's where KC really needs to crack down.

  3. Fireworks haven't been canceled in some areas. But the news now is, because some fireworks displays have been cancelled ANTIFA and BLM have been buying up fireworks by the thousands and making bombs out of them. I listen to a recorded conversion of them talking about it when they were testing one. Sounds like things aren't over yet. Don't forget to check out who funds the BLM movement!

  5. Can the KCMO gunfire sensors distinguish between gunfire and commercial fireworks?

  6. KCMO should open up Berkeley Park as a zone to shoot off fireworks. Also Swope. The county could open Longview, JOCO could open up SM park and Bull Park for the same purpose.
