Kansas City 'Karens' Fight For Continued Right To Shut Down Streets At Their Whim

The handiwork of amateur urban planners on the council and in so many local organizations has created a Midtown, Brookside and Waldo maze . . . Read this one closely, because Kansas City Karen wants to keep the streets shut down:

Dozens of KCMO neighborhoods closing streets through limited COVID-19 permit program

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - With so many camps and parks either closed or cramped in the summer of COVID-19, many Kansas City neighborhoods are taking advantage of a limited permit program. It allows neighbors to block off portions of streets to give children and families extra room to roam.

  6. Yeah... Brookside is real liberal and tolerant. The minute they could gate their streets they did it.

  7. Their signs are usually black lives matter or LGBT promotion. Had no idea that was what closing a street was for. Pondering the crybabies chant if a person put a Christian cross, NRA, star of david, symbol of buddah, USA #1 , MAGA , no free cheese , anti dope or proud to be white and not confused signs up.

  8. Funny how those parks are closed and they are screaming pandemic more than ever now, but the looting and RIOTS were O.K.
Seattle is O.K. with people living in the middle of the city streets with no way to shower or wash their hands. This virus was started in a Chinese bio lab that we have funded for years and the democrats together with China dropped this virus on us. Three people who tried to warn everyone were put in jail. Look around people can you see what's going on? It's real clear!

  11. 755, it's for kids to play, so what's wrong with that?

i assume any neighborhood street could do it.

  12. No one talks about the inconvenience to the 90% of residents trying to get to work or back home. Nothing is said about excess traffic on all other streets. We now the the situation where 10% are happy about receiving extra benefits while 90% of residents are upset. This could easily be the start of a civil war.

  13. I drive down the “closed” streets anyway if it’s convenient. My neighborhood. My car.

  14. The work of Eric Bunch. He hates cars. Uses the panepidemic as a tool to hate cars. Not very smart, but most devious.
