Kansas City Jazz District Hopes To Silence Sound Of Constant Gunfire

A deadly mass shooting started this week and now we hear a constant refrain that might hopefully inspire a new tune from this embattled local district.

After 5 shot, 18th and Vine business owners want to see change to help stop crime

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - As the community rallies behind the Black Lives Matter movement, some city leaders are hoping this momentum carries over to other issues. "When you talk about the totality of preserving black lives in the community, we have to find our lives more valuable than the lives of those who are willing to destroy what we're seeking to do," 3rd District At-Large Councilman Brandon Ellington said.

  1. I know how!
Defund the police and put another $100 million or two into the "Jazz District".
The "community" will continue to refuse to cooperate with the police, even if there's a $25,000 reward offered.
And people will continue to behave with no consideration or respect for others or themselves, even to the point of self-destructive behavior.
And the "leadership" of the community will continue to make-believe they don't know what the actual problem is and continue to blame everyone else.
But pouring more millions into a proven black hole?
That's sure to do the trick!

  10. ^^nope. Go virtue signal somewhere else Boomer. Only you pretend to care.

  11. "OK Boomer" or another variation used in a condescending tone = the new N-word equivalent phrase that tries to diminish and dehumanize the elderly and make them sound stupid in a “hip” way. Imagine if people started saying, "OK N****r." Age discrimination and elder abuse are alive and well in America, and these issues are as warped, shameful and wrong as racism.

  21. a more rational request would be a federal subsidy to hire Black Swan International.

    ReplyDelete
  22. 10:16 or you can start a security company and patrol the jazz district yourself.

    ReplyDelete
  23. No way should the KCPD have a presence in the jazz district at this time and perhaps never.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Can get Federal subsidy for Black Swan for Westport, P&L, and the Plaza too.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Defund the police or have more of a police presence? Make up your damn minds. You can’t have both.

  26. Jazz is only liked by fat old bald white men that want to relive Jr High School band class and the girls they could never date. it appeals most to the mentally unstable and addictive personalities. Jazz=Gay

  32. Jazz fans are : left handed, arrogant, overweight, unemployed, addicted to 1 or more substances, have no long term marriage partners, always disagree with anyone on any topic, want the Jazz played so loud it prevents enjoyment and leads to hearing loss. Are Michael McDonald fans. In short, they are total assholes.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Hey asshole, Michael McDonald is the shit! Great music.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I don't care what you guys say. I do frequent the Velvet Freeze, that shit is fire, just not after the sun goes down.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Boomer: Michael Mcdonald was made fun of 10 times during the movie "High Fideilty". Reason: the director couldnt stand Mike's shrill, 1/2 octave voice range that sounds like a baby crying. Jazz is for weirdos. Get with it. Or stay square old dude
