Kansas City #BlackLivesMatter Protesters Beg Pardon From Council

The ordinance for forgiveness advanced today . . . Here's the aftermath of the debate:

City council to vote on barring prosecution of nonviolent protesters

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - After more than three hours of debate and discussion, a Kansas City, Missouri, city council committee voted to advance an ordinance that would dismiss municipal charges against nonviolent protesters to the full council. The ordinance, which is sponsored by Councilman Brandon Ellington, would exclude aggravated trespassing and property crimes.

Comments

  1. If the ordinance passes, it sets the precedent in KCMO that no one has to obey instructions given by the police.
And, considering that the orders being enforced were a curfew issued by the mayor, no one should have to pay any attention to his legal authority either.
Does everyone get to play by these rules or are some of the pigs just a bit more equal than the rest?
Excusing any kind of behavior turns out to be what this whole fiasco is really all about.
    What a surprise!

  2. What's their slogan now,
"Oops, Pardon me, Black Lives Don't Matter After All"?

  4. Blacks will also be allowed to drive 5 mph faster than whites and their temp tags will be good for one year.

  5. No benefit to prosecuting the masses involved in the protests. The only damage from the ordinance will be the damage to the egos of the police. The police don't show up...

  6. The story did not say who voted, and how.
    Sloppy reporting.

  7. Lucas and Ellington are PATHETIC!

Soft on crime, coddling criminals, teaching malcontents that they can violate the law and not be held accountable.

    What goes around, comes around.

  8. Why does long standing principles of news reporting now favor frustrating omissions?

  9. @ Tracy Thomas 11:23PM Why don’t you post here the information you think the media should have included, since you have so much time on your hands. I look forward to your announcement of which local media outlet has hired your mega-talented mouth as a journalist.
