Guv Parson & Mayor Q Downplay COVID-19 Second Wave Lock Down Risk

Not exactly an assurance but politicos simply offering their best guess as the China lockdown doubles down . . .

KSHB: Gov. Parson, Mayor Lucas don't anticipate future COVID-19 lockdowns

Deets on how the two politicos show a bit of solidarity and different approaches . . .

"It's really important for our state to move forward and we all have to realize we’ve got to be able to deal with the virus and the economy at the same time and get people back out there," Parson said. While touring the new Burns and McDonnell expansion, both pointed out the importance of strengthening the workforce. Parson said he's confident the state will get back to a low unemployment rate similar to last year. Mayor Lucas said reopening will still involve following protocols like social distancing and wearing masks. "I think everybody recognizes there has been a spike in cases here in the Kansas City area," Lucas said. "So, we'll call on them at this point to look at what institutions are doing, to not patronize businesses that aren't following the rules, but continue to push out health department guidance."

The first waves isn't done yet... The first wave is done when the numbers his near zero and stay near zero for an extended period of time. Numbers heading down for a short period of time isn't the end of the "first wave".

Parsons is a Damon liar. He will promise anything to get through the November elections. And when trump gets four more years he will do what he did tell last term...serve the rich.

@10:11 is 100% correct. I voted for shyster Greitens because I'd rather have a RINO than a prog any day. I will end up voting for Parson again, because frankly the hot-chick auditor is a headpiece of the prog party. She's managed to keep her opinions to a minimum so people don't know what she actually stands for. She was a HUGE proponent of the so-called clean Missouri allowing the appointed auditor to gerrymander at will. /rant Parson will lie, pander, bow and scrape to the progressives in the big cities for the scant hope that somehow they'll like him and vote for him. He ruined our economy for them, he's destroyed many small town budgets of his actual voters for them, he's damaged a generation of youth's education for them. Come November, they now get to blame all that on him.

Parson has done zero roll out of workplace testing before these workers are exposed to this danger. He invites himself and does a speech and there is zero policy follow through

Parson has done zero furloughs or salary cuts to state employees in spite of the shuttered economy and crashed tax receipts. Many local governments have had furloughs but not the State of Mo in the hands of these phony limited government conservatives. He is just hucking and dumb fucking along doing nothing difficult and just spending federal money. The cuts he makes are to schools. His "workforce development" strategy is a joke and just the spending of federal dollars itself. For god sake show-me state you have a chance at an actual leader in Nicole Galloway, send this bumpkin to his cattle ranch which he inherited tax free and doesn't pay any taxes on now and in fact collects federal money for the land he doesn't farm, not as much as Vicky Hartzler, but still.
