Controversial National Anthem Protesting Footballer Colin Kaepernick Coming Soon To Kansas City Chiefs?!?!

The reasoning here is solid and better than what other sports newsies have concluded . . . IN THEORY it makes sense until we realize that local fans have pushed better players out over national anthem disrespect.

Checkit:

Fox Sports: Kansas City Is The Perfect Landing Spot For Colin Kaepernick

Here's the quote and the reasoning . . .

Dan Patrick: "Nothing has changed with Colin Kaepernick except that he's gotten older. It feels like the NFL is more tolerant of NFL players taking a knee during the national anthem. I think Patrick Mahomes is the key to all of this. When Michael Vick got out of prison, Andy Reid brought him to Philadelphia as a backup quarterback. Patrick Mahomes has the most secure job in the NFL right now. He's respected, well-liked...and he's been speaking up. I think if Colin Kaepernick is going anywhere, he's going to the Kansas City Chiefs. If he goes to Kansas City he knows he's not starting but he's back in the league. People will watch what Kaepernick does. It's a safe house for him and maybe he can get another job somewhere else. Andy Reid can do no wrong in Kansas City and Patrick Mahomes is the most powerful player in the NFL. If Patrick Mahomes asked Andy Reid about bringing in Kaepernick...I think they'd look at it from a football perspective and see him as a good backup."

  1. Fans would give up on the team without question. No way he could pull that same act in KC. Even with the protest.

He barely got away with it in San Francisco. In Kc it would just be asking for trouble and a fan revolt.

  2. Kaepernick would fit perfect in KC with our loser Mayor. The Chiefs proved what thugs they were at the parade so hell yes bring in Afro Boy to finish the team off.

    1. Afro-Boy? Weak minded and racist. The Chiefs are winners. You’re the loser.

  3. The writer overlooks the fact that the Chiefs don't have any room under the salary cap especially after they give Mahomes the biggest contract in the league. Plus, Kapernick wants a big contract and he wants to start.

  4. Two half white quarterbacks do not equal one white quarterback

  5. Do we have enough homosexuals in Kansas City for Kaepernick to hang out with? I know we have a lot of homosexuals but he is used to San Fran.

  6. Seattle go byby Seahawks go byby KILLA city go bye KC chiefs go byby so lets get this going I’m tired of these over paid wanna be elites that cant even read or write fuck KILLA city and fuck the nfl

  8. I hope that he comes to K.C.
I need a sweetie (and hopefully more) so that we can comb each other's hair, do our nails and dish about that slut Patrick.

  9. Don't be so thick. Kaepernick does not want a job in the NFL as a quarterback, back-up or otherwise. He is too lazy to ever want to work that hard again. He makes millions off of his Nike contract and his only goal is to keep his name in the media to keep the endorsement bucks coming. He won't play anywhere.

  10. If he plays, you will see the defense not try too hard to disrupt him because he is their false messiah and must succeed to prove how wrong all the naysayers were. He will have plenty of time to pass. Tacklers will not quite be able to tackle him when he's in the pocket or running the ball. Watch and see. It will be like when they put a helmet on a special needs child for one play and let him score a touchdown so he feels good about himself and can hear the cheers.

  11. Cannot wait for a WOKE Joe Buck and Troy Aikman to tell us how great it is the NFL players are kneeling on the American flag.

Joe: Troy, isn't it great the players are disrespecting our national anthem.
Troy: It sure is Joe, I wish they would spit on the flag right about now.

Joe: Troy, do you find me pretty?
Troy: Joe, every night I dream of your pretty, little mouth.

Joe: Oh Troy, you know how long I have been wanting to hear you say that?

  12. He was struggling to hold his position before the whole knee thing, I think he knows he probably can't hang years later. He just needs to stay relevant so he keeps his endorsements, and I'd bet a back-up spot behind a young QB is his best option for this.

  13. Chiefs should first change the team name to non-offensive something like BLMKC. Then the team should fire any white players and coaches. Bye Andy and welcome back HERM we all know he got the job last time a token was needed. Since Mahomes and kapercrap are both only half black they both would have to go. Then give free tickets to all black people all others have to pay double. Now how do we determine blackness? DNA sample or just dark skin tone guide.

  14. After seeing the last three weeks of national protests that at best were disruptive (their purpose) and at worst were hijacked by opportunist looters and other anarchists, the silent taking of a knee during the anthem doesn't seem like that big of a deal anymore.

  15. I hope he plays somewhere.
The fact is- he wasn’t very good his last year or two. Stats don’t lie.
Coupled with age... he most likely wouldn’t make it in cub s our flag football.

Want to see what age does?
Watch Brady fail along with his sidekick. Won’t even make the playoffs nor finish the season.

Father Time isn’t racist... just consist.

I am Joe Biden and I forgot this message.

Does it matter to anyone that he was right?

He wasn't protesting the national anthem, he was protesting police brutality.

How can we ask African Americans to be flag waving patriots when they may be the victim of random police violence at any moment?

Even when lying in their own bed in their own home.

  18. He's so suppressed isn't he? But yet he will help no one who is.. Why not just remove the flag and anthem from the game and make these anti Americans happy until the next episode.

  19. A marketing DISASTER!!! Only a DUMBED DOWN Baghdad Bob would think this is a plan.

  20. He was protesting the flag in his own words. "I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for [my] country..."

    1. What a shame, I was never about the flag. But it’s what you want to believe or told.
Often wondered how Jim jones got those people to drink the poison, pretty easy.

    2. Pretty easy for the woke-thug cult, absolutely. You don't even care what this idiot even said.

  21. "He wasn't protesting the national anthem, he was protesting police brutality." He was in thrall to his radical girlfriend and she relied only on anecdotes. The statistics say otherwise.

I'd be in favor of removing the National Anthem from athletic contests. Overuse cheapens it, and anyway it is darn hard to sing along with.

  22. What about baseball?
No one cares if games are cancelled.
Baseball players are babies and so is Frank White!
Protest baseball and tell millionaire players they suck and cheat... Fuck Houston.

  23. Chiefs owner, Clark Hunt, needs to remove the American flag and anthem from all Chiefs game so it is not desecrated by the spoiled millionaire NFL players.

Clark Hunt's family are elite billionaires, never having served in the military or had loved ones lost because Hunt's family has connections. Thus he does not appreciate the pride and love for our country, flag and anthem,

Trump never served in the military nor Obama nor Bill Clinton. But Trump is not the one desecrating our flag and anthem. He respects the sacrifices of our veterans.

There are much more important things in life than watching pampered millionaire grown men play football who received every break in life due to our country's freedoms.

Its always the poor kids that defend our country, please give them the respect they deserve by honoring our flag which is symbolic of their sacrifices.

  24. Just shut down all sports and let these players get real jobs.

  25. In the U.S., nine unarmed black men were shot by police officers, while 20 unarmed white men were shot in 2019. Unarmed doesn't necessarily mean they weren't trying to take the officer's gun, or choke or beat them, so these figures might be skewed a bit. Yet, contrast those figures with about 7,000 black men killed in the U.S. by other black men. One category of deaths brings a lot of money to the Kaepernick, NACCP, BLM and other groups when it occurs, and the other category doesn't. Like most things in life, follow the money.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Absolutely nothing justifies kneeling during the national anthem, unless it's to protest the killing of 7,000 black men at the hands of other black men.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Kneeling on company time is like an employer letting an employee flip off the CEO every day when he or she comes into the office and not get fired. This is kneeling on the company time, not personal time. There's a huge difference. The teams will quickly lose a lot of fans who are proud of this country by disrespecting the flag that so many fought and died for. Next, we'll have a vegan referee and a vegan first-down marker holder take a knee to protest the serving of meat at NFL games.
