USS Kansas City Debuts

A top performing multi-purpose ship is soon to make it's debut carrying this town's name . . . Here's a progress report:

Future USS Kansas City Arrives in San Diego

The next ship to be commissioned and carry the Kansas City name arrived Sunday at its homeport in San Diego, Navy officials said. The future USS Kansas City arrived at Naval Base San Diego, where the Navy will commission the Independence-variant littoral combat ship on June 20.

The new captain reportedly posted some drunken selfies from the bridge and immediately steered the ship into a reef, causing her to sink in shallow water. He was then heard to be blaming everybody and everything else.
