TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! JACKSON COUNTY EXEC FRANK WHITE CONFRONTS INCREASING REBUKE OVER HOARDING FEDERAL 'CARES ACT' CORONAVIRUS STIMULUS!!!

Jackson County has been awarded $123 MILLION worth of federal stimulus but KCMO has yet to receive any help.

Even worse, other cities in Jackson County have also failed to receive any significant assistance.

Without support, KCMO has little ability to significantly increase funding to first responders.

The byzantine intricacies of the "Cares Act" and the current holding pattern might be fun for "journalists" to discuss BUT reality on the ground level is far more dire both politically and from a public health perspective.

To wit . . .

INSIDERS WARN THAT JACKSON COUNTY HOLDING ONTO FEDERAL STIMULUS IS A SLAP IN THE FACE TO BOTH POLICE & FIRE ALONG WITH EVERY OTHER FRONTLINE WORKER IN KANSAS CITY!!!

Here's the insider word . . .

"The arrogant County Executive is picking the wrong place to make a power play. Shutting out Kansas City means hanging Police & Fire out to dry. People are going to remember that come election time. What's worse: These front line workers need support to make sure they're properly equipped and right now they're not getting it from the Courthouse. This decision is literally risking lives of the people we rely on most and diminishing the standard of care in KCMO."

Behind the scenes, the political outcry is reaching a crescendo.

The Mayor's office, Council and the Jackson County Legislature are all prepping to speak out against Exec Frank White's federal funding hold up on broadcast TV given that carefully placed stories in The Star have proven ineffective.

Exec Frank White already has a long list of political adversaries but newfound frustration among the Civic Council & The Chamber might give him a moment of pause as his reelection chances and political viability now encounter increasing opposition from local power players.

    2. This is why a lot of people warned that Frank should have been recalled over the property tax situation. It turns out they were right.

  2. Jackson County should not give a penny to KC.

  8. All across the country you can be sure that the same kinds of childish selfish crap is going on among the local elected clowns.
A huge amount of the trillions of dollars coming from Washington to address this crisis will be utterly wasted on insiders, special interests, ego games, "legacy" projects, and all the rest of business as usual.
    It's really a shame.
And why state legislatures limit the "authority" of counties and cities.
    Sad.

  9. This is the best thing that has happened to KC in a very long time. At least the developers will probably not be at the trough.

Wearing a facemask in unnatural, if we were intended to have filters, then we would have evolved to have them in front of our mouths, but that's not the case.

Masks are appropriate for high risk environments, like visiting a hospital with infected individuals but not appropriate for everyday use.

  14. Since Killa City, Misery has a history of wasting every dollar it can steal from tax payers and their grandchildren, not being allowed to get federal funds from the county is a good thing. On the other hand, if you look at the history of house payments on Frank White's property in Lee's Summit, the county may experience a similar fate.

  15. Why should KC get any money they aren't doing anything the money will go to
Developers or protecting the little thugs on the street.

    ReplyDelete
  16. All the comments here ae correct, Frank needs to stop "hoarding" that money and let the "hoards" on the County Legislature take it so they can keep a close and careful watch over it till it's all gone.

By the way Tony, which of those Council "Hoards" are the "insiders" you refer to?

  17. The demand for police and fire services decreased with the pandemic. The health care resources are decimated, though. Fiscal responsibility should not be abandoned due to the prospects of stimulus funding. The funding isn't sufficient to cover the health care resources, regardless. The BBQs at the fire stations (without social distancing) has increased. Not setting a good example with the fire station staff inviting friends and family to the fire station for a BBQ. Mayor Q needs to get over the "blip" mentality and implement austerity measures immediately.

  20. The good thing is that if you starve KCMO they may cut some of the many programs which simply waste tax dollars. IE, 18th and Vine, Jazz Museum, Street Car to name a few.
When Trump said the Fed will be very careful not to bail out States and Municipalities who have mismanaged their funds for many years he was right on. I am a life long Democrat who hates Trump but at the same time applaud him for this statement.

  22. Can anyone bring some intelligence to this conversation. Why was the money given to counties? Is their a formula by which they are suppose to distribute it? Is he violating the requirements of the money as ordered by Congress? Sounds like maybe the Trump Administration or Congress creates this issue!

    ReplyDelete
  23. ^^Intelligence? Here? Bitch please. This is nothing but a repository for dying, racist, geriatrics and the people who hate them. Get a clue!

    ReplyDelete
  24. ^^^Obviously, I see now. I mean, if the County was doing something illegal, I'm sure the great attorneys at the City's legal department would have filed a lawsuit or something.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Maybe the County can provide KCMO some relief money. Maybe they will replace all the sinks and bath tubs in the 3rd district. They could hire Jermaine Reed and Sly James to oversee this work. They could create a large committee to oversee the project.

  26. I haven’t supported Frank White except as a KC Royal.
But since I don’t live in KC I support him 100%.

    Jackson County deserves this money.

If KC can’t pay their bills- perhaps business Guru Mayor Quinton Lucas should rethink 10-10-10. The national media continue to make fun of him and the 10-10-10 will surely be the reason KC is broke and a laughingstock of future Nazi-like endeavors.

Frank- stick to your guns and stiff arm the insane Lucus.

Why would anyone give their name and contact info to anyone? Dimbass Lucas.

  27. I think White has demonstrated plenty of incompetence but on this he's doing it right. Any money sent to KCMO government would rapidly disappear in the black hole. Pretending it is for the police or fire fighters is a laugh, it would just be used to offset funding already budgeted.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Unbelievable.
Just read the 10-10-10 after hearing it on the national news after it was picked up by USA Today.

KC is now an idiot town. Where is the science and data for 10-10-10 ?

    Has your mayor been drinking?

  29. ^^^ That’s why he’s called mayor mcdrinkerson....

  30. 2:28, this should answer some of your questions:

  31. Thanks @4:44 so this is a provision of the bill:

45% of a state’s funds are set aside for local governments, with populations that exceed 500,000, with certified requests to the U.S. secretary of Treasury. Certification requires a signature by the chief executive of the local government that the uses are consistent with certain requirements.

So City of Kansas City would have less than 500,000 residents?

    ReplyDelete
  32. The recent kcmo budget said we had 492,000 people. What happens now that no city in Missouri has 500,000 or more people?

    ReplyDelete
  33. The courthouses, which can only be entered by two small portals, will be funnels for passing disease to hundreds and even thousands of people every week. A single person passing through and spreading droplets could spread their loathsomeness to the multi county area in a matter of days. I HOLD THE JUDGES RESPONSIBLE.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I hope people keep donating to the anti KC team.
The money was given to Jackson County- not KC.
If KC has issues lying it’s employees- that’s on them.
10-10-10 is a joke- Lucas knows he is totally screwed and the since of the nation.
Talk radio having a field day of the drunkard.
KC on track to lose an additional 87,000 jobs over average. Not just poor people either.

    Questions:

    1. Will the Earnings tax go up to 5% to pay for 10-10-10 ?
    2. What can Rex Sinquefield do to help KC citizens get their 1% back this year?
    3. How can KC recall Lucas the fastest?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Jackson county qualifies for direct aid due to the > 500,000 population but Kansas City MO doesn't qualify for direct aid due to the < 500,000 population. Jackson County and Frank White have all the leverage. Quinton Lucas has a soap box...

    ReplyDelete
  36. Just one thing to say. Most of KCMO lies within Jackson County. There's not much of Jackson County left without KCMO. But KCMO should not be getting any of this money according to half the comments here?

I guess with this much money at his disposal Frank White can buy his chief of staff a whole fleet of pickups.
