  1. I think the guy in the other post was right. If you have a problem with higher taxes, maybe it's time to move to parkville.

    1. ^^^ for many it's not the taxes or even support for firefighters. People obviously support the FD. It's the rate of taxes vs. lack of services and then all of the benefits paid to developers.

  2. I support the fire department. I realize it benefits me and my neighborhood to make sure they have the equipment and the resources they need.

If you're mad at the high taxes, take it up with the P&L District or the streetcar.

  3. Can we flatten the curve of tax increases to spending? If we don't it's bankruptcy time!

  4. Time to cross the state line to buy stuff which fortunately is just a few blocks away for many of us.

  5. I just avoid shopping in KC.

@ 5:49 Exactly right, just avoid shopping, eating, spending in KC. That's what I'm going to do.

the negativity against the fire fighters is bunk. if you're unhappy about taxes, blame Waddell & Reed not the people who actually want more money to save your ass.

    1. No 6:44 you’re wrong. The negativity is very true amongst people who pay attention and know the City is being raped by Local 42 with unaccounted for overtime, how they ran off Chief Gary Reese when he tried to stop the corruption and demanded Donna Maize as chief, whom they refused to support earlier, knowing she would be a puppet. The corruption in the union is a serious problem but you’ve got to know about it to care about it. I’m voting No because I know this tax won’t go for equipment. It will end up going for salaries.

  9. Ok! It's obviously going to pass! So I guess you guys can all move on to something else, right?

  10. Firefighters demand new King-size memory foam beds -to sleep on while they scam overtime.

  11. And yet this passes easily. See you at the victory party!

  13. 7:32, what a laugh. You won't be at any victory party, unless one is organized in your mental ward.

  14. I will vote yes because I don't want the arsonist wing of the FD to try to burn down the city like they did during the strike in 1979.

    1. Exactly! Corrupt bastards. Wasn’t the only time they’ve threatened that. But I’m still voting no.
