Show-Me Guv Parson Deciding Against Mask

Whilst his competition is hiding away in her basement, this Missouri politico up for reelection makes a bold move that should appeal to his base and could prove politically savvy IF he doesn't get sick.

Here's the postscript on his decision:

Missouri governor says he 'chose not to' wear mask in store

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) - Missouri Gov. Mike Parson has a simple reason for not wearing a face mask during a visit to a southwestern Missouri thrift store. "I chose not to," Parson said tersely Monday in response to a reporter's question.

  1. macho.

this may be an indicator of why a modified, "be reasonable," lockdown isn't going to work. it's a slippery slope to ignoring completely common sense public health steps.

yep, a second wave--and before the fall--seems to be a real danger.

  2. Is he setting a good example?

No, he's pandering to Missouri's NASCAR voter base.

  3. No second wave. Most people already have the anti-bodies. Take a science class or better yet quit believing everything that is on the news.

  4. It’s science people, masks don’t work, respirators are the only thing that works. Wearing a mask only makes freaked out scaredy-cat libtards and dimwits feel all better, because they’re uneducated.

Actually, it's the Rethuglicans that appear to relish being uneducated.

  6. The 'hold my beer and watch this' demographic is critical if republicans hope to avoid an electoral debacle which would lead to oversight and prison terms for many...a little pandering is necessary.

  7. The Ministry of Covid Compliance is reminding us this week how the virus has a genetic targeting mechanism able to differentiate between essential cans of vegetables, bottles of liquor, lottery tickets and non-essential products like sneakers and paint.

  8. To avoid an increased infection rate it is critical for American citizens to only visit Home Depot, Lowes, Costco, WalMart & other large institutional retail systems with influential lobbying offices near the Covid Mitigation Ministry.

Effective compliance and mitigation requires that everyone must avoid the small business operations where the virus is more prone to hide out and attack consumers.

  10. Those who should know many more details about the seriousness (or not) of the coronavirus choose not to wear a mask. Wonder why that is?

    Trump - no mask
    Pence - no mask
    Dr. Fauci - no mask
    Dr. Birx - no mask
Pelosi - only in the last 10 days for PR photos
    Schumer - no mask
    McConnell - no mask
    Mnuchin - no mask
    Pompeo - no mask
KS Gov. Kelly (married to a MD) - no mask
MO Gov. Parson - no mask
KCMO Mayor Lucas - no mask

Is it because the coronavirus is basically a bad case of the annual influenza, and was never going to kill even 100,000 Americans? Each year, the seasonal flu kills anywhere from 30,000 to 60,000 Americans depending upon the severity of the strain circulating. You just got your Constitution shredded, saddled with $6-10 trillion in additional taxpayer debt, the economy wrecked, stressed out to physically/mentally weaken you, all while corporate media brainwashes you with COVID-19 fantasies of mass death.

  13. Mr 9:48, might I point out a malaria drug hydrocloridezinetrash/something was tried to cure Covid19. Why that drug you might ask? Because its going to be spread by mosquitos like Zika, west nile, and Malaria. This summer. Spread all over by Mosquitos. And then this winter - if you get the regular flu and Covid19 together - you will 100% die. You wont even be given a ventilator. Just set aside to pass away. Remember a vaccine wont come until OCtober 2021 at earliest. Sure masks may not work at all if people aren't coughing. And politicians want everyone to see their face as its their badge of authority. But the worst is yet to come! Many reading this will be 6 feet under in 2 years. Good luck to you all. Have a will/trust already put in place.

  15. western civilization is not about individualism to the point of killing others. it's about freedom within a framework of responsible citizenship.

so, wearing masks voluntarily is not an act of submission to tyranny but an act of free will to be a good citizen.

if we members of western civilization can't get our act together, then the tyrannical model will take over the world.

bubba, keep in mind that wearing a mask is making war on the tyrants!

    Up at 3AM on drugs?

How can I begin to take you seriously when you're writing gibberish?
    "hydrocloridezinetrash/something" WTF?

"And then this winter - if you get the regular flu and Covid19 together - you will 100% die." Because mosquitoes are out in Winter?

If you want to be taken seriously, if you have information to relay, please write clearly.

  17. This whole scam is nothing more than a liberal leftist fraud. Every scam they’ve tried to slander trump has failed miserably and as far as I’m concerned they should be tried for treason and executed. At least you know who the brainwashed democrats are when your out the idiots all have mask on. The fucking morons are everywhere which demonstrates the success of the traitors brainwashing over the last 50 years. The only way to save our country is to start prosecuting the democrat criminals in our government and when necessary giving some of them the firing squad for what they’ve done to our country
