SHOCK!!! KANSAS CITY STAR SUGGESTS POLICE COVER-UP BY TOP COP!!!

We'll explain this politically charged attack later today but for now we invite your opinion . . . Take a peek:

Kansas City Star: ‘It looks like a cover-up’: KC police chief is impeding investigations of officers

Premise . . .

"Kansas City Police Chief Rick Smith has twice rejected routine requests for criminal complaints against police — a highly unusual tactic that appears aimed at protecting his officers from legal scrutiny.

"Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker has raised serious concerns about the police chief’s decision to withhold probable cause statements in two incidents involving officers, telling Smith in a pointed letter that his department’s actions were limiting her ability to file charges and ultimately could undermine trust in law enforcement."

You decide . . .

  3. ^^^ politics. It's all politics.

    I remember when the newspaper actually did journalism. This is just a farce. The police chief should protect his officers.

  9. Correction, he is only impeding investigation of the officers he likes and/or white officers.

  10. I'll give you an example. Recently one officer used the city's red light cameras, the police database REJIS and license plate recognition software to follow his girlfriend, who he suspected of cheating, around the city. He received only a warning.

    If anyone could get the department's discipline records, you will clearly see a pattern of not charging officers.

  13. @11:25, dumb ass you know it don't stop there. Officers are committing domestic violence, drinking and driving, watching kiddie porn, and doing drugs. Its just all being swept under the rug, but hey, everything comes to light eventually.

  14. ^^well if you say so, I guess it is true. Probably should just dismiss the whole PD force and let people fend for themselves. Yes, that is the way to go, I decided.

    Who is the dumbass??

  15. If the Prosecutor's Office has the goods on the police officers, it can take its proof to a grand jury to try to get them indicted. No need to keep demanding that the KCPD take action on its own. Or maybe what the Prosecutor really wants to accomplish is to stigmatize the KCPD, rather than seek justice on its own.

  16. Oh boy! INSIDER SCOOP coming up!!! Don't hold back on the DEETS!!!

  17. 11:46 Petersucker is deflecting for her being the worst prosecutor to exist on planet earth. She has to distract everybody from her own failure as a prosecutor and that she has failed at life not only for herself but her family and the citizens.

    She is the biggest failure and is an embarrassment to human civilization.

When did you graduate law school and pass the bar exam, for example? Or did you even pass the entrance examination for kindergarten?

  20. SOCIAL JUSTICE WARRIORS IN A NATIONAL ELECTION YEAR

    Ultra-liberal, no credibility KC Star editorial board led by a Clinton/Podesta acolyte (+) JP Baker, head of the MO Democratic Party, team up to attack KCPD in forlorn attempt to agitate their political base.

    However, reality has a way of biting these fools in the ass!

    The Kansas City Star editorial board, it can be argued, is a racist collection of White suburban JOCO liberals. These are the types who love to promote an endless stream of onerous tax hikes upon KCMO residents, constant municipal interference in the free market by choosing developers who pay graft for tax-subsidized favoritism, and a stand-down policy on exposing the massive corruption endemic within the KC/County governmental structure. And they do this while the Star/McClatchy is itself a solicitor and recipient of large tax breaks. Yet, they're still bankrupt!

    Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker, doesn't know the definition of "conflict of interest" concurrently serving as head of the Missouri Democratic Party. When elected by the public to serve as Prosecutor, Baker took a solemn oath pledging loyalty and independent judgment to the people of Jackson County regardless of a person's political affiliation.

    Originally serving as an intern and then hired by former Jackson County Prosecutor Claire McCaskill (scandal-plagued by ex-husband's drug abuse, current husband's spousal abuse allegations, tax evasion, misuse of campaign finances, etc.) Baker was appointed to her office by federally convicted felon Michael Sanders in 2011. Baker's name is directly intertwined with such boondoggles as KC NoVA, COMBAT tax, "restorative justice" alternatives, and KC's record-breaking homicide count.

    Let's take a look at KCMO's homicide tally during Baker's tenure:
    2011 = 114 homicides (5 ruled as justifiable) Corwin-Forte transition
    2012 = 105
    2013 = 100
    2014 = 82
    2015 = 111
    2016 = 131
    2017 = 151
    2018 = 138
    2019 = 150
    2020 = 66 (YTD record pace)
    While not directly responsible for KC's homicide epidemic, Prosecutor Baker is directly responsible for holding violent criminals accountable and keeping them away from law-abiding citizens.

    PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE
    CASES RECEIVED/CASES FILED/CASES CLOSED
    2014 = 5822/4195/3894 = 100%/72%/67%
    2015 = 6572/4519/3962 = 100%/69%/60%
    2016 = 7913/4726/3775 = 100%/60%/48%
    2017 = 6027/4306/4010 = 100%/71%/67%
    2018 = 6860/4981/3411 = 100%/73%/50%
    2019 = 6669/4587/3712 = 100%/69%/56%
    CLOSING ROUGHLY HALF OF THE CASES RECEIVED IS NOT A GOOD TREND.

    The police chief is obstructing justice.

    This isn't just a local issue as it represents your contribution to a national pattern.

    When a person of color dies in police custody, we want to know all the details, & we want the letter of the law followed.

    He doesn't get to choose not to follow the law.

    ReplyDelete
  22. The Court recently put out a report on its top prosecuted cases. One would think it was some type of violent crime. Wrong, it was drugs and alcohol. Actually everyone is to blame. The police are not presenting cases because the prosecutor wont take them. For example, the prosecutor wont take a burglary case and instead tells the police to write a city trespass charge.

    KCPD needs to file every charge with the Prosecutor and stop letting her office say they wont take it. Even if they don't, KCPD can show that they wouldn't take the charge and start using this information to sway public opinion.

    If I was Chief, fuck the politics, I'm calling other elected officials out on their bullshit.

  23. @1:17 Minneapolis Police just killed a guy with a knee to the neck. His last words were I cant breathe. It was filmed by bystanders who watch the officer knee the guys neck for 7 minutes. FBI is investigating. City about to erupt.

    Louisville Ky PD just did a no knock warrant in Louisville at 1 in the morning. The subject of the warrant had been taken into custody a few hours earlier and they knew or should have known this. When the homeowners fired at the people he believed to be intruders, they fired back killing the homeowners girlfriend who had no police record.

    Now think about that for a minute. You are asleep at 1 in the morning and are awaken by your front door being kicked in. The last thing in your mind is its the police because you have no criminal record. In the dark, you fire at the first person coming in the door. Is that reasonable?

    Keep thinking the police are your friend and mean you no harm.

  24. Keep complaining about those mean nasty police and everyday ordinary citizens will start handling their affairs themselves, just like in the Wild West , so if I was you whiny ass cop hating little chuds maybe you should start backing your local police dept, just sayin.

    You morons have no idea what you’re talking about anyway, all you little chuds are bLIEron clones and that alone should make you want to go to an old folks home and breath deeply so the Chinese red death can put your life hating selves outta your misery!

    1. ^^^ dude STFU. The department would not be missed. Seriously, the public is better off defending themselves than waiting for an officer to arrive and the homicide rate is reflective of the departments inability to solve crimes. So good riddance.

  25. 1:20 maybe kcpd can take all those charges that Petersucker won’t file to the kc Star so the Star can prove what a moron she is. They wrote a nasty article back in 2014 about her and what a terrible job she’s doing so maybe they can do it again..... nah, they’re as bad as she is now.

  33. Anyone else notice that Peters Baker is the chair of the Missouri Democratic Party and it's an election year? What better way to deflect blame and probably attract left-wing dollars than attack the police chief? Now maybe there's something to these allegations, but with a hyper-partisan like Peters Baker, at least a measure of caution is warranted.

    She has failed to uphold the laws, protect and serve the citizens and she should be sent to prison.

    ReplyDelete
  36. The KC MO police department blame the citizens. If the citizens refuse to talk to the police, the police are not trusted by the police. Decades of police corruption cannot be fixed with town hall visits with the city councilors each quarter. Firing the racist police chief would be a first step.
