  1. If he does that, he might as well resign.

  2. You’d think that knowing nursing homes are highly vulnerable, the city would be doing daily testing and surveillance moving forward.

  3. Mayor McDrinkerson looks worried. He shouldn't be. Someone will tell him what to do soon.

  5. Well of course Lucas wants the city to stay closed. It's never going to be 100% safe. It's been that way for years this virus is no different.

  6. He needs to start listening to licensed medical doctors!!!,! Those with experience in infectious diseases! And stop listening to social justice warriors!

    3. 3:24/ I Am Advocate, Archer is not a licensed medical doctor. He’s got the MD after his name. Just means he graduated medical school. Calm the heck down until you know what you’re talking about.

  9. it's a difficult balancing act.

seems like lucas is trying his best.

moreover, any delay gets us that much closer, hopefully, to a solution, be it a treatment or a vaccine.

it would be regrettable to have a second wave in the summer going into a third wave in the fall.

  14. > it would be regrettable to have a second wave in the summer going into a third wave in the fall.

The only way we are going to acquire herd immunity is for subsequent waves to expose us to this disease as this inevitably. In the future, hopefully we will have a better understanding of the load it will put on our healthcare system and how to protect the most vulnerable populations in care facilities and the workers in meat packing plants. No more shut downs should be necessary or excusable.
This hysteria causes more harm than the disease does.

  15. Compare the fatalities from the virus to homicides. Driving in KCMO is certainly not 100% safe, especially since the KCPD never writes tickets when its dangerous.

  20. When will they release the recovered numbers?

Won’t happen, Rex wants people to be scared like he is. He has no idea what to do and this is the best he can come up with. And to think he is in charge of this mess. Just great.
