Kansas City Weekly Power Rankings As Coronavirus Lockdown Slowly Concludes

This was an important week for Kansas City as we emerge from the Coronavirus pandemic lockdown and test the reopen.

Smarter locals know that going back into quarantine will only come with the most horrific human loss & suffering imaginable given the damage already done to the nation, the economy, and civil liberties. What's worse is that going back into hiding isn't entirely out of the question.

Still, none of this has stopped some impressive power moves that deserve highlight . . .

Council Lady Teresa Loar Stays Winning New KCI Bidding Transparency

This Northland Council Lady authored the BOLDEST MOVE WE'VE SEEN SO FAR REGARDING THE CONSTRUCTION OF NEW KCI and our blog community talked about it FIRST . . . The council voted Thursday in favor of the resolution to require the city manager to hand over information on every bid that construction firms have submitted for the project.

Councilwoman Teresa Loar, 2nd District at-large, who chairs the council’s Transportation, Infrastructure & Operations Committee introduced the resolution and said that the project needed more oversight and that local businesses would “desperately need this work.”

She switched up votes and STAYED WINNING THIS WEEK as Council finally relented.

Anchorman Mark Alford Asked The Important Questions About Reopen

This week his interview with Mayor Q hit on most of the issues that had been confronting small biz. Haters don't like his swagger but his interview skills and access are better than most local journalists.

Dr. Rex Archer Reigns As Kansas City's Top Coronavirus Authority

His statements and prognosis for the reopen have moved the conversation both forward and backward. And whilst many disagree with his cautious approach, there's no doubting his influence now and moving forward.

And So . . .

This list has been compiled according to scientific TKC polling and market research data and it's a weekly comprehensive guide to local powerful people, trends and our times.

  6. PLANDEMIC..that's the video that all the suburban housewives are passing around, right?

You know, the same intellectuals that are always wanting you to try some essential oils.

  7. Pandemic is not about 5G.

It's how big pharma in cahoots with CDC manipulates illnesses, drugs, treatments and us for huge profits.

Watch it and make up your own mind.

  8. Your Mayor is an idiot.
Read about his 10-10-10 plan... he has no clue.
You total is less than what we have in one day in NY and NJ.. combined... more than 500 a day recently.

As you see business close and NOT come back ask yourself who it hurts the most... THE POOR!
No matter what your Mayor says he is hurting his poor.

Ask him to resign and go hide in a closet and maybe Call him the Wizard of Oz Dunce.

You are idiots if you continue to let him be a Mayor of a garage sale.

  9. After the reopening, and when the disease and death starts to rise, don't think there are not people who will lose family members. You can try and ignore that, but don't think some of them will not crack up and want revenge.

  11. Good laugh at Loar's resolution. Even if it passes for symbolic purposes. Just more garbage in garbage out.

  13. According to the Data, in which ten Kansas Residents responded, everyone wants another giant taxpayer funded hotel! And that is why we want your feedback!

  14. Just about the time that it might seem that there's some hope for KCMO, each "power player" ranking brings you back to the reality of what an amateur clueless bunch this cowtown has "running" it.
And Lucas apparently has appointed himself spokesman for the entire metro.
More selfies, TV spots, grandiose announcements, press conferences, and "plans" that reverse themselves within hours aren't really helping.
Please take a deep breath, get some serious people involved, disappear while you craft something thoughtful, helpful, intelligent, and workable, and then let the public know.
The rest of the 80%+ of the metro residents who DON'T live in KCMO are already doing just fine.

  15. There is one question Mark Alford has never been able to answer.

"How does one correctly read a teleprompter?"

  16. Help me understand. The person in charge of the KCMO City Council committee that is tasked with management of transportation including aviation is requesting more information on the airport project construction from the committee tasked with management of transportation including aviation. One big circle over and over again. Or in other words, no individual is managing the new airport terminal project.

  17. "Pandemic is not about 5G. It's how big pharma in cahoots with CDC manipulates illnesses, drugs, treatments and us for huge profits."

    That's even stupider than 5G.

This situation is like a conspiracy theorist's wet dream.

  19. Look at how enraged the whoremonger Trump got when he realized his staff was not keeping him safe. Now he knows how the rest of us peons feel about HIM not keeping us safe. What are we gonna do if he tests positive?

  20. 8:36 don’t be a dick just like big pharma who charges $750 for an epi pen that used to cost $50 to how Barry, the clintons, peelousy, schiff, Comey and a whole slew of dimwits aren’t trying to take out the president and his staff no, that’ll nevar happen will it? Even with the evidence coming out almost daily now you’re still too stupid to see it. Keep on believing the government will take care of you...... as long as you do exactly what they tell you do you’ll be ok right?

    ReplyDelete
  21. 8:54 so what? If he tests positive he tests positive, he’ll get taken care of because he has the best medical professionals available just like all the politicians in Washington have.

    You’re an idiot.

    ReplyDelete
  22. 8:54 lighten up Karen.

A Karen “demands the world exist according to her standards with little regard for others, and she is willing to risk or demean others to achieve her ends.”

  23. Stop following the lies. 5g/60gHz is proven by genuine engineers across the country to be the virus. 5g is the virus. If you search "non ionizing effects on the body" what comes up? Flu symptoms. 60gHz manipulates oxygen molecules making the electrons on the molecules spin so our hemoglobin cannot bind with it to oxygenate our bodies. Now our danger is the Bill Gates vaccine as it will contain liquid metals to focus the beam forming rays. There was even a sick 5g ritual in the 2012 London Olympics; search on YouTube for "London 2012 Predictive Programming" a horrible sick ritual that is going on to this day! We need to stop 55g PLANDEMIC or this "virus" will never go, leaving us in permanent lock down and culling the population!
