Kansas City Public Library Provides Coronavirus Pandemic 'Pop In / Pick Up' For Books That Nobody Reads

A dead-tree nice idea now no longer relevant given that everybody is mostly checking their phones and spying on frenemies and candidates for a potential flings.

Still, worth a peek for the very few local literate souls more likely to read it here  . . .

Kansas City Public Library: Pop In / Pick Up Contact-Free Holds Service

Deets:

Pickup sites and operating hours initially will be limited . . . The sites providing Pop In / Pick Up service have been selected according to their capacity to allow staff and visitors to practice proper social distancing. They also combine to serve the most neighborhoods within our district. We plan to expand this service to more locations the first week of June as we follow public health experts’ guidance.

How does Pop In / Pick Up work? When you receive notice that your holds are ready, go to the designated pickup site and call the number posted on the signs. Once Library staff have checked out your materials, you can pop inside, pick up your holds, and pop out!
########

Pop In / Pick Up Holds Service Hours:
Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Check KC Public Library's for more info.
