Of course there are horror stories about these services . . . Sadly, most effete activists from the suburbs might not realize that there are plenty of people who use these services responsibility as a means to float a few hundred bucks and make ends meet without bothering family & friends.

ReplyDeleteNo, the Bible forbids interest of any kind on loans among fellow Jews. It does not forbid interest on loans to non-Jews. The Bible says nothing about unconscionably high rates of interest, i.e. usury under modern laws.
ReplyDeleteI think those progressives should pony up their own cash in form of payday loans. There are plenty of very wealthy progressives in town, they surely understand those taking the loans do not present a risk. Subsidize the interest rate or set it at inflation. EZPZ everyone is happy. The renters needing the cash are good for it, the wealthy progressives have plenty of cash to lend (and they'll get it back). It would be much better than these trashy scam stores.
