Amid rising resistance to the lockdown, here's a glimpse at Kansas City elected leaders showing their support for local coronavirus precautionary measures. Notice that Mayor Lucas wasn't among them . . . He told reporters he was on a phone call with Guv Parson.

Core 3 counties agree to coordinate reopening effort, while still working to formulate plans

At a news conference Friday morning, leaders from Jackson County in Missouri and Johnson and Wyandotte counties in Kansas, announced they are working together to finalize a coordinated plan to reopen their communities.The county leaders said Jackson, Johnson and Wyandotte counties will remain under stay-at-home orders through May 10.

  2. ^Blame it on the farm bill. Carbohydrates are very cheap in the US. 70% of the supermarkets aisles are dedicated to donuts, chips, soda, cookies, crackers.

  3. What's in the grocery store aisles bears the same responsibility for obesity as the gun manufacturers bear for senseless homicides.
    Somehow what takes place with people's poor decisions and the use of their hands, arms, and mouths probably should be figured in somewhere in this equation.

  6. Core Counties? First off, Johnson & Wyandotte are in Kansas... Jackson County is in Missouri. Different Governors. Different laws. Why is Jackson County, Missouri coordinating re-opening and business plans with another counties outside of Missouri? Very weird and very different circumstances.
