KANSAS CITY 'DENSITY' STAYS WINNING OVER SUBURBS DESPITE CORONAVIRUS!!!

Money line and hope for so many Kansas City amateur social media urban planners who push a crowded condo future connected by bike lanes über alles . . .

“I have now looked at the history of pandemics and plagues going back centuries. Not once has any serious — the bubonic plague, the Black Plague, the Spanish flu, we can go on — dented the course of urbanization. New York, London, Paris, Rome, we can go on, have all remained great cities,” Florida told Yahoo Finance On the Move. “I think cities actually have a very interesting bright future. What we find is that in history of crises, in history of pandemics, the young people, ambitious people, people from rural areas who want better jobs flock to cities.”

Is he serious? People of all ages have always done this, there aren’t that many good paying jobs in most rural areas so naturally they come to the “cities” for work, but I have one question though, how many good paying jobs are actually in kc proper? Not as many inside kc as there are outside the city limits. All the car plants are outside kcmo city limits as an example.

  4. It doesn't have to be either, or. If people want to live in the 'burbs, that's OK, and if they want to live downtown, that's OK, too. Who cares?

  5. Maybe he's thinking the grippe will eviscerate the negroes which would make city living actually decent.

Until they're gone, not so much.

  6. Nothing worse than over-paid douchebag college professors living in their little bubble funded by taxpayers telling the rest of us how to live.

Universities are a joke full of sexual deviants and communists.

  7. Young ppl will mostly prefer the city life until they figure out you dont have to live like ants or listen to your neighbors' farts, dogs, music, and just general annoyances.

  8. The other cities mentioned were STILL great after the epidemics.
KCMO is a small town in flyover country that's "governed" by people easily sold the latest BIG BIG things so they won't be "left behind".
A little cow town of wannabees.
With someone like Slick James piling on long-term debt for faddish unproductive "projects", all the while ignoring maintenance of public property and the most basic of services, it doesn't take long before the curtain is pulled away and the mess becomes clear for all to see.
And the "me too" nonsense has been going on for long before the Slyster came on the scene.
All smoke and mirrors and a very pale facsimile of the benefits and attractions of an actual urban area.
    All aboard THE streetcar!
    Hahahahaha!!

    1. Tenured professors are the biggest bunch of sexual harrasers using their power of grades to prey on young students. 40ish and 50ish year old lesbian and homosexual professors are the biggest pervs.

  12. 12% or less of eligible voters will come out and decide for the majority. As is always the case with taxes, it will pass. There is a reason they put these issues on the ballot for low turn out days.
