DeleteFor the past 3 years Trump has been poking at China with all the big talk about how he's is charging China billions of dollars in tariffs, and threatening to further increase tariffs, in other words selling wolf tickets and talking trash about China and all the time calling China's leader his friend. Now with almost 70,000 died, and over a million cases in this country, China is saying "how you like me now" In November, these stupid people had better vote this demon out of office before everything is destroyed. White people are real dumb for making a deal with the Devil.
ReplyDeleteCase count will go up as testing increases, the statistic to look at is people who are hospitalized, and the number of deaths. It's possible to have fragments of virus RNA in blood and get a positive test - even if you have no virus - that's what the "re-infections" all turned out to be, the virus RNA hadn't been cleared from the bloodstream yet. And to get to herd immunity, most people will have to get the disease, or a vaccine. The smart thing to do is to let the under-50 population get it, since they have a 0.2% chance of severe disease, and almost none die. The survivors become immune - there's obviously an immune response, otherwise they wouldn't survive. As for people over 50, it's face mask and prophylaxis time. If over 65 and with two or more comorbidities - obesity (BMI > 30), type 2 or type 1 diabetes, hypertension and the like, isolation until a vaccine can be given - unless herd immunity is reached and the virus dies out.
ReplyDeleteIn a nation of 330 million, 100,000 dead is roughly a 0.03% death rate. The death rate for the flu is 0.01%, for comparison. The Spanish Flu killed 675,000 people in the US, out of a population of 104.5 million, for a death rate of 0.7%
