In the midst of a devastating national crisis, two local restaurants have cause for celebration: They're finalists for the 2020 James Beard Awards. On the same day that was initially scheduled for the annual James Beard Awards - often considered the Oscars of the food world - the foundation instead announced the finalists for its 2020 awards on Twitter.

will the restaurant boom come back and, if so, when?

seems like if it's two years, some restauranteurs might be better off closing and starting from scratch.
