KANSAS CITY ANCHORMAN MARK ALFORD EARNS OUTPOURING OF SOCIAL MEDIA LOVE FOR PANDEMIC PUSH BACK!!!

Possibly the sentiment of the week and a very simply comment in a public post that earned HIGH PRAISE from throughout the metro, the nation and among an army of fans . . .

Recently, Mark Alford simply wrote: "I’m DONE with the rona!!!! Who’s with me?"

His simple line earned THOUSANDS of likes, hundreds of comments and shares along with nearly absolute agreement.

Meanwhile, doctors and scientists STILL URGE CAUTION this memorial day weekend as the public grows weary of preventative measures and fights ongoing restrictions over everyday life and the economy.

You decide . . .

    2. They say they "hate" Mark but still follow every move he makes. Most local TV personalities would love that kind of hatred.

  2. Wow, what an intellectual and nuanced opinion from Marky.

And just so goshdarned hillarious too...I mean, the very idea of a 50-something year old man imitating schoolgirl tween-speak is just comedic gold.

  5. I'm with Mark! The worst offenders of this virus are the people walking around with masks and gloves. They are the ones getting right on top of everyone else.
way too many holes and lies in this pandemic and the stories about it. Time to move on.

  7. Mark is right.
Very few public figures have the guts to call BS on KC.
The very low numbers make so sense in putting many families out of work, suicides sky high, and no way for most including the cities to not back debt.
The few people that die - tragedies- those left - horrible situations that they can’t put good on the table and suicides are the story the media is avoiding. Many many business will not survive.

Lucas - put your energy on the murders and killings and gun violence. You are a 10-10-10 Mayor forever... now open up the city and let everyone work. Those that want to hide- let them. No one is enforcing much of your charade anyway. And fuck Rex- old geyser.

    Mark Alfred for Mayor!

    1. Sounds dramatic until to realize the projections of 2 million dead by now to justify the shutdown didn't happen. Did you forget that little tidbit?

  9. Meanwhile, the Republicans are plotting to gut Social Security as you bicker. Nice. What does genius Mark Alford have to say about that? Fuck that guy.

  10. I quote two of the greatest leaders of the mid-twentieth century."the only thing we have to fear is fear itself". "One death is a tragedy, a million deaths is a statistic".

  12. NOT SO FAST WITH THE ALFORD PRAISE!

Always remember that this is a guy who's made his career delivering corporate "news" propaganda, thus he can never be fully trusted.

He's also been planning for several years, an entry into local politics once he retires from TV news. Why do you think he started doing Week In Review with Nick Haines, and interviewing folks on his podcast "Getting Comfortable with Mark Alford", etc.?

Can you name one local power player that Alford has criticized? Remember when KCPD Chief Forte abruptly resigned before the Child Victims Unit scandal broke, took a $500,000 golden parachute retirement bonus, then landed as the new Jackson County Sheriff thanks to Frank White? Alford was only full of praise, saying they were friends who rode motorcycles together. He's always kissing up to those in positions that could help him enter the game. A real public advocate isn't afraid to hold people's feet to the fire.

  14. Mark Alford is the personification of a douchebag. I’d be more comfortable taking advice from a fortune cookie.

  15. If he is saying that local news should go back to a local news format rather than the 'all Rona all the time' stupidity that they have been broadcasting for the last three months then YES! Please God, YES!

  18. As the news media like the star miss many many stories as they focus on staying at home and doing stories that scare people from working- they don’t realize the poor people they hurt will be the first to cancel paper subscriptions and unplug any media.

Suicides are the story. Deafening homelessness and dispair brought by the crippling scare tactics the liberal media do- their goal is to scare people and have them buy more media to find solutions l.

We would be better off with no coverage. The media is bent on wrecking poor people and the level of violence soon to be seen is horrible and not covered.

Protest the media today! Tell your neighbors you are offended by having “papers” in their driveway- call them for what they are-
Liberals that support other liberals that want to destroy the poor even more.

Let’s vote AOC and Biden and Adam and Pelosi our.

I am Joe Biden and I forgot this message. If you don’t vote for me you aren’t black. Where are my wheels? They fell off my canoe!

  22. Hillary would have disappeared those corona virus spores just like she did with her emails! With a cloth!

    ReplyDelete
  23. No, @9:09, Hillary would have followed the OpPlan put in place after SARS and done something to minimize the effects of the disease.

But instead we got lies to try to reassure us the pandemic would not happen while the stockpiles of supplies were being dumped and/or shipped to other Countries.

Guess the present Administration would have done better if it had a financial stake in manufacturers of masks, gloves and ventilators rather than being heavily invested in manufacturing an anti-Malaria drug.

    ReplyDelete
  24. 9:24 Hillary would have found, like Trump did, that the national stores of PPE were depleted by the previous administration and never replaced. Hillary would have had to wait weeks for a politicized CDC to produce a working test just like Trump did. Hillary would have mobilized the military and declared martial law across the whole country, unlike Trump.
