Kansas City 2020 Homicide #50: One Dead After Triple Shooting Saturday

An UPDATE and roundup regarding the worsening quotient of Kansas City violence despite the pandemic lockdown.

KANSAS CITY NOW COUNTS KANSAS CITY HOMICIDE #50 AFTER A HORRIFIC SPATE OF GUNFIRE TODAY!!!

As some of the smarter friends of the blog and commenters continue to suggest, rising violence in the metro during the lockdown doesn't bode well for the "new normal" and increased restrictions and movements that many believe will emerge during the reopen and continue until there's a vaccine . . . And probably long after. Sad to remind readers but governments relinquishing power rarely happens without massive upheaval.

For now, here's the roundup of news regarding today's massacre:

Kansas City police investigating homicide in 2300 block of Van Brunt

One local business owner told our crews they heard multiple gunshots.

Detectives are canvassing the area looking for witnesses or surveillance video that may help them discover what led to the multiple shooting.

If anyone has any information about this incident, please call the homicide unit at 816-234-5043. There is up to a $25,000 cash reward for TIPS leading to an arrest in this homicide.

  1. This is probably going to be the year that Kansas City breaks the homicide record if this town can't even behave during a quarantine.

    2. Also seem to me from the description of the victims that they were not practicing social distancing. Which is an additional criminal offense.

Mayor Q has shut down the City, ruined countless businesses, forced thousands onto unemployment, food pantries, bankruptcy, drug abuse, domestic violence, etc.

KCMO has had 50 homicide deaths in 2020 so far.
