Jackson County Sheriff's deputy involved in shooting Monday night

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A Jackson County Sheriff's Deputy was involved in a shooting northeast of Independence late Monday night. Sheriff Darryl Forte said a deputy initiated a vehicle stop around 11 p.m. near North Perrin Road and Blue Mills Road in a rural area in northeast Jackson County near Fort Osage Township.
