INSIDER: RISING KANSAS CITY VIOLENCE AMID CORONAVIRUS LIKELY TO WORSEN SPARKING FEAR OF CIVIL UNREST!!!
Despite a pandemic lockdown, Kansas City has suffered a deadly spike in crime that puts this town on a record-breaking pace for annual homicides.
KCPD's top cop recently admitted that shootings and homicides have been increasing steadily and offered a glimpse at how coronavirus has scaled back the response from authorities.
"Courts, prosecutors, jails, probation and parole – they’re all part of the criminal justice equation. None of those are operating at normal capacity right now, but areas of the system struggled long before COVID-19. To show how other parts of the criminal justice system have an impact, consider this example: two suspects who have been charged with shooting a 5-year-old during a rolling gun battle down Truman Road last month just had their bond reduced from $100,000 cash only to 10%. One thing we do know is that people involved in crime continue to be involved in crime."
While criminals might not be acting out inspired by ideology, the response to the uptick in local violence is certainly part of the political discourse.
An explanation and dire prediction from THE MOST TOP ECHELON local insider . . .
"The deadly crime surge that we're seeing here in Kansas City offers a hint about how civil unrest starts. Sure, drug dealers, gang members and perpetrators of domestic violence aren't pushing their ideology but they're notoriously opportunistic. In KC, the impact of the virus has basically led to a situation where there are even fewer consequences for criminal activity. What the virus has done is hamper the ability to respond to crime. Many efforts from authorities, the public and elected officials to curb local violence have basically been sidelined because of coronavirus restrictions. The result of fewer resources for police has been obvious in Kansas City. This is more important than pool parties and needs to be understood because COVID-19 restrictions on government and law enforcement are, obviously, highly regulated and criminals know that . . . All of this could aggravate an already bad situation as the year goes on."
KANSAS CITY INSIDERS FEAR WORSENING VIOLENCE FOR SUMMER 2020 AS CRIME THREATENS TO SPARK CIVIL UNREST!!!
And so, whilst the public continues to play doctor about the implications of the virus via social media - The record-breaking pace of local homicide and gunfire amid COVID-19 is undeniable as authorities have yet to offer the public any solutions or a plan to confront the trend.
