Insider: Kansas City Prez Trump Opposition Shouldn't Hope For Reopen Disaster

At the outset of Kansas City coronavirus lockdown reopen there's a conflict at the heart of politically active denizens that has yet to be addressed by any local news outlet.

Thankfully, our blog community sums up the sitch perfectly . . .

MANY PROGRESSIVES HOPE FOR PREZ TRUMP FAILURE SO BADLY THAT THEY SEEMINGLY WISH FOR DISASTER & MORE DEATH AS KANSAS CITY AND THE NATION CONFRONT AN UNCERTAIN REOPEN!!!

The dilemma speaks to the nearly insurmountable level of political avarice confronting voters during an election year.

And so, as always, we turn to our readers for perspective and hope for finding common ground.

Here's the word from a longtime local politico and 12th & Oak Insider:

"I don't know if it's Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) that conservatives complain about or just people losing track of what's really important but I don't hate the President or ANYONE enough to hope that more people get sick and die.

I make no secret that I have not and will not ever vote for President Trump. I think he has been a horrible leader but I'm not about to sit around celebrate continued suffering for Americans. The fact is: ALL OF US would be better off if (Prez) Trump is right and we make it past the pandemic quickly. Sure there's a debate worth having about public health, safety and masks. Yes, people should wear them no matter how they're voting. But so little of the discussion is really a medical debate. It's all doom and gloom that terrifies people so much that they'll be hesitant to enjoy life and spend on the local economy for YEARS after this is all over.

"It's an uncomfortable fact but the reopening is happening whether we like it or not and for the sake of Kansas City, our neighborhoods and our nation. As a longtime Democratic Party voter . .  I'm hoping that it works."

  1. I might agree with this sentiment but it ignore that fact that many far right zealots are waltzing around with guns and threatening anybody who disagrees with them like the Governor in Michigan.

Nobody is wishing continued suffering on anyone. Are you sure this was not written by a Republican supporter of Trump posing as a "concerned Democrat?"

I for one would vote for an inanimate object before I'd vote for Trump or any of his Republican enablers, and I am sincerely hoping we can reopen soon and that this pandemic will quickly recede into the history books. After all, I have a life I'd like to take off hold.

  5. Look everybody with room temperature IQ knows this is Trump's fault. The only ones who don't, are the CHUDS with GUNS demanding to reopen and threatening violence in the name of Trump.

  6. Dude, Trump just said he's taking Hydochlorowhatever. Like, WTF? He's either lying, which is fucking nuts or he's taking it, which is fucking nuts. This should really up the usage of this shit. There's like 40% out there thinking "fuck it, POTUS uses this, Imma give it a shot".

What the hell is wrong with this clown?

  8. 4:03 hey dummy, your doctor has to prescribe it to you effing moron. Why do you insist on this being a bad thing when it’s recommended by doctors all over the country? Watching cnn is gonna get you killed because they constantly go against Trump and the republicans for everything, if he saved the world as an example you idiots would be mad and scream bloody murder, watching the national inquirer news casts has you extremely dazed and confused. When will you realize it’s opinions and entertainment for weak minded people who’ll believe anything they say???

  9. If Trump hasn’t gotten the Chinese red death virus after being around everybody else who does should tell you something.

  10. Blaming Trump for the COVID-19 pandemic in the US is like blaming Obama for the financial crisis. Both crises were entirely out of their control and they are doing their best to contain and manage our country through it. I don't know of a single Trump support that supports every comment he makes - there are some cringe-worthy ones - but his leadership has been what the country needs...at least those that are not disillusion...he's provided every federal resource that could be put together in record time. The only people taking his words during press conferences as medical advice are the media talking heads who want to use every comment he makes, out of context, as gospel.

My favorite commenters, both the media talking heads and people like 4:03 that are the self-anointed geniuses that are able to talk and type but not lead themselves. They have all the ideas, critiques, and outright nasty things to say....like Trump supporters are some group of idiots that can't put together a full sentence. Instead of focusing on educational attainment of 2016 voters, focus on income. You know - Trump voters are higher income earners than Hillary's. A 10-15% disparity over Hillary voters doesn't seem like that much until you show that Trump supporter's are primarily in lower cost-of-living states (i.e. they make a lot more than Hillary voters on average). Trump supporters will enjoy getting things done in the real world as you fix coffee at Starbucks.

  11. "Blaming Trump for the COVID-19 pandemic in the US is like blaming Obama for the financial crisis."

The financial crisis happened under George W., another Republican disaster. The recovery that Trump claims credit for began under Obama.

  13. I blame Sly James, Quinton Lucas and all the KC democrats for murder totals in KC. The murder totals are a lot worse than the China Virus.

  14. The Dems have wasted our taxpayer money and destroyed any of their scant remnants of integrity on trying to impeach Trump during the last several years. Obama and Bush both sucked at stoking the economy. Trump was the one who got it really going -- lowest levels of unemployment for many ethnic/gender groups.

I voted for Obama, but soon regretted it after seeing his focus was more on transgender bathrooms than getting the economy going. Trump saved many American lives by stopping Chinese citizens from flying here, and the Dems called him racist for this brilliant act.

As an Independent voter, Trump has surpassed all expectations. A lot of my Independent friends plan on voting for him in 2020.

  19. Biden and Trump thought it was smart to send radical Iranian leaders millions of dollars of taxpayer money on pallets to ease their extremist views toward America. Talk about "Dumb and Dumber" making a plan. It only resulted in more U.S. soldier deaths due to more IEDs and Iran advancing their nuclear plans.

  23. Yes, Americans are generally bad people. They hope their own leader will fail. Ever heard of self-sabotage. They’re willing to die just to be right about a person they elected into leadership. Go figure.

  24. Obama loved the celebrity fame and thought he was "too cool for school." It all went to his head. He lost his motivation to get the economy going or do anything else of note. He rested on his laurels while thinking he was a rockstar. He and Jimmy Carter are the two worst presidents in American history.

  29. 4:26 - Hey fuckface, wonder how he gets his adderall then????

Fact is, most studies that have been completed have shown Hydro alone and combined with other drugs has minimal effectiveness.

I do have another theory, so hear me out. He's fucking lying about taking it! I know, I know, it seems far fetched that an asshole like that guy who lies on the daily would lie about that, but I think he might be.

    ReplyDelete
  30. 4:29 - for millionth gotdamn time, no one blames Trump for the pandemic. They blame him for the absolute dog shit response. He did one fucking thing - a half ass China travel ban. What Fucking leadership do you speak of? What? He's kicked the can on everything. He has his eunic robot of a son in law running this shit show and he basically said the states are on their own. That doesn't work in this situation and if you can't figure out why, you're fucking stupid.

Elect a dog shit businessman, fake University having, washed up reality star for President and these are the fucking results you get. Trump hasn't done shit and you're all cool with his dumbass coming out saying he's taking a drug that has minimal impact on COVID 19 in published studies to date.

You know why people mock Trump supporters like your dumbass self, because you're hopeless and you're voting for the clown no matter what the he does or doesn't do. Face it, you're a fucking idiot.

  34. @5:05 and @5:17, the Dow Jones was at $7,949 when Obama took Office and at $19,732 when he left Office, an increase of 248%, or 31% average a year.

If Trump had matched Obama's percentage the Dow would have grown to over $38,000 after three years, but the highest it's ever been was $29,569, with Trumps growth percentage now well under 15%, less than half of what Obama accomplished.

So, tinfoil hat mythology aside, which one of the two do the FACTS say did a better job of managing the Economy?

  37. Employment never recovered under Obama and wages were stagnant. In Trump's recovery unemployment rates went down, labor utilization went up, and salaries for the middle class started reversing their long decline and making progress. In Trump's recovery ordinary people, not just Wall Street fat cats, prospered too. That is the difference.

Just because you want to spread your filthy, hateful bullshit against anyone who isn't a Trump zombie doesn't mean anyone who disagrees with you is hoping for things to get worse. You are a right-wing snake.
