HISTORIC KANSAS CITY KNICKERBOCKER APARTMENTS BURN OVERNIGHT!!!



The vacant 114-year-old building has sat empty for years. Last night KCFD believes homeless set it ablaze.

KCFD responds to large fire overnight

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Kansas City, Missouri, Fire Department responded to a large fire at a vacant, historic building on Knickerbocker Place overnight. Firefighters were called to the Knickerbocker Apartments at about 12:30 a.m. Thursday. 41 Action News cameras recorded flames shooting from the roof of the three-story building.

Once square block of prime KC real estate burn. Blame the homeless if you want, it should have never been allowed to continue this way for so long.

^^^^ True. Kansas City only enforces building codes in poor neighborhoods at the request of landlords and developers.
