KCPD awarded $3.6 million grant by the DOJ
According to a recent release, Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas announced today that the Kansas City Police Department has been awarded a $3,675,522 million grant by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) as part of Attorney General William Barr's Operation Relentless Pursuit initiative.
This is nice but when you factor in retirements and other circumstances. It will barely keep officer levels at their current number. And that obviously isn't enough.
