  2. ^^^^ lulz!

But doesn’t laying off people make things worse as far as collecting taxes go?

Dimwits are living up to their legacy with this move.

I’m guessing there’s a big tax hike in the near future as well.

  3. But, but who will fill the potholes ?

Oh silly me, filling potholes is not assigned to any government bureaucrat.

  4. Blame the 10-10-10 Mayor.

Why in the hell would anyone pay 1% extra to work or live in KC?

Now the 10-10-10 Mayor won’t let poor people work in a lot of circumstances. The divide grows.

Read about Candace Owens. She has real solutions for the poor that don’t involve running with the same old crowd. Remember what Biden said about blacks... the read Candace Owens. Should be president.

I am Joe Biden and I forgot this message.

  5. Actions have consequences. Shut down for political reasons. Tax revenue goes down from lack of economic activity. Government workers get laid off. Suck it up.

  6. Maybe if we quit doing the chicken little sky is falling with this virus the economent wouldnt be so destroyed and we wouldn't need to lay people off.

People have been unfortunately dying from the flu for years. But we didn't shut down the country for that.

THis is political bullshit before an election and a socialist power grab. Period.

  7. Why should KC Govt be any different than other businesses? No revenue, so you need to cut back. I know that is a foreign concept to 12th and Oak, but it's time to wake up from naptime kiddies....

  8. As long as the fire department gets their pay raises and $100,000 a year pension benefits who cares about the other City workers.

  9. Laid off- unemployed workers can thank the Main Stream Media that includes the Kansas City Star, KMBC-9, KCTV-5, CNN etc. creating fear and hysteria and shutting down the economy in hopes of harming Trump's re-election attempts.

KMBC-9 runs at least two negative segments per newscast regarding President Trump these days. They have become ultra-left wing hiding behind their wrought iron fence and gate at Winchester Park a little east of Swope Park while telling the rest of us how to live.

  16. Quinton Lucas told me it is only a "blip". The finance director concurred; and then the finance director gave two weeks notice. What could go wrong?

  17. Federal civil service workers will be laid off? I will believe it only when I see it. They are among the holiest of Democrats' sacred cows. A bought and paid for voting bloc.
