Country Club Plaza Nordstrom Seyz It's Moving Forward Despite Kansas City Looky Loos Noticing Construction Shut Down
They've stopped turning dirt at the site and there hasn't been any progress in a couple of months. Meanwhile, other construction efforts throughout KCMO continue to move forward during the pandemic.
The newspaper asked about it and then just reprinted corporate hype:
In a statement, a Nordstrom spokeswoman said, ”We plan to move forward with this store relocation and may need to adjust the timing based on COVID-19.”
Nordstrom’s website still lists a 2021 opening for the Plaza store . . .
Developing . . .
Better make sure they stock a lot of XXL sizes for all the rube tourists in from Omaha who waddle over from the PF Changs.
ReplyDeleteSomeone would spend money at the plaza instead of running along in a screeching troop of diversity? Horrors!

ReplyDeleteDon't worry about the fat tourists think about the theft that store is going to encounter. I know the employees at Eddie Bauer said that they use to come in and grab a handful of clothes and run out the door. That's why they left.
Correct. Nordstrom decided to up and run based on your friends. Those friends crazy
DeletePower-friends. Very powerful friends
DeleteYour Eddie Bauer friends are really something.
DeleteI would like to meet those Eddie Bauer employees. It sounds like they can get shit done.
DeleteA well-managed company might well be conserving cash right now and moving slowly on expansion projects.
ReplyDeleteIf corona continues to abate, expansion can be ramped up.
If not......
They best have iron gates monitored by guards loaded with automatic weapons at the exit doors to keep the grab and runs consisting of the diversity crowd from robbing the store blind. Armed guards with shoot to kill orders strolling the aisles might help also. The real way to stop theft is to eliminate the thieves.
ReplyDeleteNordstrum's will be awesome but it will NOT be for people on a tight budget, thrifty people, or poor people.
ReplyDeleteFat tourists from neighboring states aren't likely to find many products.
