The scramble for federal stimulus is intense as local biz confront a dramatically altered economic environment after COVID-19 lockdown.
Accordingly, Kansas City's top ranking politico advocates for biz within his community.
Money line:
"Kansas City, Missouri, Congressman Emanuel Cleaver organized a conference call with local salons and barbershops to discuss the concerns.”I heard from them horror stories about their inability to access those dollars,” Cleaver said of Missouri’s 5th Congressional District. ”We're seeing disparity in the recipients of the money."

Money for nothing is the new normal.
ReplyDeleteMust be an election year.
^^^ True. But from corporations to every dumbass barber, everybody wants some of that federal free money.
DeleteHope Jackson County doesn’t give KC any money.
ReplyDeleteThat toy train KC built... no one will ever ride it again in any sane numbers... what a waste.
Bet KC and Lucas still try to extend the trail/trolley.
Hint: sell it for scrap to pay the city’s bills.
Frank White isn’t sharing any money because you dummies never prepped for a rainy day. You did extend your rainy day of 10-10-10 based on no science. Now you are the laughing stock of the nation while your businesses are handcuffed and broke.
Cleaver desperately misses the good ole days of the Congressional earmark, when he could grab a couple million and personally choose how it would be spread around in "the community".
ReplyDeleteTax, tax.
Spend, spend.
Elect, elect.
When a member of Congress is able to accomplish as little as Cleaver, bringing home the pork is about the only way to hang around.
Sad.
ReplyDeleteUntil the voters get out and clean up the city KC doesn't and shouldn't get one penny. Oh and who is it that wants to keep the city closed????????????????????? But Cleaver and Lucas think money grows on trees. Car wash anyone?
The disparity is Clever and his buddies not working under term limits. You serve in government not make a career of it. Get out !
ReplyDeleteFuck these fucking race hustlers.
ReplyDelete^^So because they can't get funds or have a harder time getting funds that their Caucasian counterparts can get they are race hustlers? Ok, got it Mr. Grand Wizard.

ReplyDeleteDid Congressman Carwash give tips on how to scam the SBA out of a million dollar loan by defaulting on payments, stalling for years, and still not paying after a judge ruled you are personally liable for repayment?
Notice how local media won't cover the story because Carwash is Black and has a (D) after his name.
850 it's just they can't compete with white intelligence, creativity, and desire to achieve. We just can't go around and make everything equally easy and everyone equal. Just reality.
ReplyDeleteThis guy is a disgrace. He should be voted out in the next election. Trump is a con man and disaster but I who am a Democrat would never in a 1000 years want Clever to replace Trump. This is the basis weakness of the Democratic party.
ReplyDeleteKeep running Jacob Turk and Cleaver will die in office
DeleteClever, White, James, Reed... What could go wrong with these guys influencing City policy?
ReplyDeleteIf the wrong businesses are getting the money, it's because Cleaver and his colleagues wrote a bad law. What he now tries to pass off as loopholes are actually features. But I guess they had to pass the law to find out what was in it.
ReplyDelete10:01 - Don't you have a White Aryan rally or something to attend?
ReplyDelete^^^ I’ll go, wheres it at? Beats listening to your dumb lying prejudiced ass.
ReplyDelete^^It's at your house. Usually while you're at work. Your wife loves to service the Proud Boys.
ReplyDelete2:13 so it’s at your house and I’m servicing your wife dummy! Once a week is what she needs from me proud boy!
ReplyDeleteDid hizoner rev.cleaver gets funds for the carwash?
ReplyDeleteWe need term limits. These politicians of both parties create a little fiefdom for themselves and never leave.
