Alert: Curfew 8 p.m. tonight

Dear Nixle User,
Per a state of emergency proclamation from Kansas City, Mo., a curfew is in place from 8 p.m. tonight until 6 a.m. tomorrow morning in the Plaza and Westport entertainment districts, Downtown business districts and all city parks. Anyone out in these areas between those times is subject to arrest. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping people safe. Here's more information on the

specific boundaries:

a. Central Business District, as defined in Section 10-212(d)(2) in the Code of Municipal Ordinances, generally described as the area between the Missouri River on the north, Broadway on the west, Holmes on the east and Pershing Road on the south;

b. Country Club Plaza Area, as defined in Section 10-212(d)(2) in the Code of Municipal Ordinances, generally described as the area between 46th Terrace on the north, Main Street on the east, Ward Parkway on the south and Belleview Avenue on the west;

c. The Westport Shopping District Area, as defined in Section 10-212(d)(2) in the Code of Municipal Ordinances, generally described as the area between 39th Street on the north, Main Street on the east, 43rd Street on the South and Southwest Trafficway on the west.

d. All Parks in the City of Kansas City, Missouri.

Instructions:
Please avoid these areas between 8 p.m. - 6 a.m.

  4. Heading to the Plaza now to protest the black extremist, Antoine Fielder, who shot and killed two white sheriff's deputies in Wyandotte County while being transferred to prison in 2018. When will the racism stop? R.I.H. Deputies Theresa King and Patrick Rohrer.
