CITY HALL WORKS TO HELP RESTAURANTS BUT WILL KANSAS CITY STILL EAT OUT AMID ONGOING CORONAVIRUS CRISIS?!?

One of our favorite former pr0n ADULT ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY hotties reminds us that eating at home has its charms.

Still, as local revenues take a deep dive, the effort to help the restaurant biz continues . . .

From a lesser blog . . .

The city’s restaurants are currently only allowed to serve patrons at tables spaced 10 feet apart, and they must follow a host of other safety standards. To boost the industry, which has suffered because of social-distancing requirements and stay-at-home orders, the city may let restaurants expand outdoors to serve more customers.

Last week, Mayor Quinton Lucas, Councilwoman Andrea Bough and Councilman Eric Bunch introduced three pieces of legislation that would allow restaurants to apply for temporary permits to run street cafes or “parklets.”

And all of this begs the question . . .

GIVEN THE EPIC ECONOMIC HIT AND CONTINUED DANGER OF CORONAVIRUS . . . IS EATING OUT STILL AN OPTION FOR MOST KANSAS CITY RESIDENTS???

Moreover . . .

THE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS ARE GREAT BUT HASN'T CORONAVIRUS TAKEN THE FUN OUT OF EATING OUT IN 2020?!?

Honestly, would like to know what other people think about the future of going to restaurants in the near future as fine dining might be a luxury and a risk that most will avoid in the foreseeable future.

You decide . . .

  2. Last weekend we took a eighteen minute trip out of town for dinner And there was a forty five minute wait. We sat at the Bar didn't have to wait. Every other booth was closed, but we had a great meal. Good Missouri hospitality. Enjoy your Summer and do the SHOW ME TOUR .

  6. No people will not eat out. Fine dining is part food and part experience. The food may or may not be equal quality but the experience is far from equal quality. The restaurants and the restaurant pricing model were developed based on a certain number of people in the restaurant. Restaurants have low margins and are designed to have a line of people waiting at the door.

I'm so old, I remember when there were no restaurants.

Is this a middle class entitlement?

It's a lot cheaper to eat at home.
