We conclude our news night with A STUNNING LEGAL REBUKE OF GUV KELLY and her pandemic "flatten the curve" push to limit church services in Kansas . . .
KCTV5: Federal judge blocks Kansas limits on religious gatherings
Fox: Judge halts Kansas governor's order limiting church gatherings to 10 people
NBC News: “Churches and religious activities appear to have been singled out among essential functions for stricter treatment,” the judge wrote in his order.
KSHB: Temporary restraining order granted against Gov. Kelly's executive order
Fox4: Federal judge blocks Kansas limits on religious gatherings
Deets:
"A federal judge on Saturday blocked Kansas from limiting attendance at in-person religious worship services or activities to 10 people or fewer to check the spread of the coronavirus, signaling that he believes there’s a good chance the policy violates religious freedom and free speech rights.
"The ruling from U.S. District Judge John Broomes in Wichita prevents the enforcement of an orderissued by Gov. Laura Kelly if pastors and congregations observe social distancing. The judge’s decision will remain in effect until May 2; he has a hearing scheduled Wednesday in a lawsuit filed against Kelly by two churches and their pastors."
And all of this inspires our glorious Sunday playlist . . .
As always, thanks for reading this week and have a safe and fun Saturday night.
Liberation movement wins in Kansas. Might want to distance from these folks for a couple of weeks.
ReplyDelete^^^ +100
DeleteIn the long run this will be a loss for all of Kansas. Might even extend the lockdown if you think about. We've already seen how some services has led to hotspots. Too bad people of faith can't work together and help all of Kansas get over this.
DeleteSeems like the quarantine has already lasted for years. Really starting to doubt that they'll ever lift it.
ReplyDelete^^^^
Delete:(
Not going to be surprised when we see an uptick in the numbers and the stay at home order extended. At the very least they just bought Kansas until May 15th minimum.
ReplyDeleteLook at the source. This comes right after the President said we should "liberate" states.
ReplyDeleteAnybody but Trump.
Trump lied; Americans died. 38,000 dead in just 7 weeks and counting. Please, Covidiots. Hold mass gatherings. Infect each other and die. Deplorables have proven they don't deserve any love. Enjoy your FREEDUMB!
ReplyDeleteMaybe, but I'm still not going to vote for handsy Joe.
Delete^^^ Enjoy your welfare.
DeleteGood at rhyming, bad at thinking.
DeleteDonald Trump left our country unprepared and unprotected for the worst public health and economic crisis in our lifetime — and now we're paying the price.
ReplyDeleteGTFO no President would have been ready for this. Did you see it coming dumbass, get prepared? Just how are you "paying the price"?
DeleteMaybe if he hadn't disbanded the NSC's Pandemic Response team in 2018, he would have been better prepared huh? You know, an entire unit devoted to pandemics like this, 12:20, huh? Your head is up your ass, huh?
DeleteИли ты еще один русский?
And yet he didn't
DeleteIt's tough to hear the truth when your head is so far up your ass 1:08.
DeleteBut try.
It looks like that Pandemic Team was full of imbeciles or else they would have gotten America ready for this way before 2018, so I'm not surprised they were disbanded. Worthless bunch of morons.
DeleteThe Democrats said nothing as it arrived in Washington State. On that very day they were SOLEMNLY carrying the articles of impeachment to the Senate, in their fancy little wooden box. And Trump was trying to shut down flights from China and he was called racist. In the meantime, the feces literally flows in the streets of Pelosis home town of San Francisco.
Delete12:56, the pandemic response team was not disbanded, it was just reorganized and the name was dropped. And yet, being just another part of the Swamp, they didn't help much did they huh?
DeleteAnd, it's vi not ti, and odnoy not odin. Kak vi idiot.
Well, yesterday I had to wipe my ass with a phone book from 1983. And my mutal funds committed suicide, I'd say I have a stake in this sheet.
ReplyDeleteSave the used pages and send them to the Chinese Communist government with a thank you note. Oh wait, it's not their fault ...
DeleteRep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) joined the growing list of Democrats who are calling on President Trump to not blame the Chinese Communist Party and the World Health Organization for the United States' epidemic of COVID-19.
Similarly, Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) absolved China of the blame for the resulting worldwide pandemic of the coronavirus after it originated from Wuhan, China.
"The reason that we're in the crisis that we are today is not because of anything that China did," Murphy told CNN on Tuesday.
I'm having the best time eve. Watching dipshits blame everyone but the people spreading it. Which would be the same dipshits that can't say it came from China, same dipshits that can't say their kids are methheads, can't say they are failures, can't say blacks are responsible for their failures in life and majority of murders etc... always on this site blaming everyone but who actually commits the acts. Just think, 2 months ago you had all the answers for our school system, all the answers for buses and bike lanes. And they were all blames as well. Keep typing and I'll get the popcorn out. Got assistance ?? yes, you do.
ReplyDeleteMost churches have had no problem adjusting to online services. It's not fair to everyone else to have lockdown time extended because these nutjobs just won't stay home. Selfish people.
ReplyDeleteGov. Kelly and the entire democratic party are against Christians. Notice the church is the only one they have been targeting. Other are gathering in large masses and not taking any precautions but that's OK. nothing said.
ReplyDeleteThe KANSAS CITY ATHEIST COALITION has been trying to shut down churches for years. Gov Kelly is their latest willing tool.
ReplyDeleteLet them meet, congregate, hug, cry and weep like good christians, and then when 10% of them die there will be fewer idiots to vote for trump. Is it not against the bible to commit suicide? Meet and meet your maker.
ReplyDeleteThat's correct. Godless people vote the other way. Wonder why the right thinks we are all Reprobates, sexual deviants and druggie party on the other side. Did you think before you stereotyped "our" party ?
DeleteDon't look on it as dying. These people will merely be "liberated!"
DeleteDo you realize how ignorant you are ? Finding amusement in the death and sorrow of others. What low life POS you are.
DeleteSo terribly sorry if you're offended. I also enjoy reading the "Darwin Award" books.
DeleteFreedom of Religion is a constitutional right.
ReplyDeleteDemocrat Governor Kelly was acting like a Communist authoritarian taking away Kansans constitutional right.
It's actually great to see American's have a greater faith in God than atheists like Democrat Governor Kelly.
That is correct but the losers like Byron and MoRage want to take your Freedom of Religion and gun ownership away from you.
DeleteKilling babies is just good business to them remember.
Byron would be the only person that thinks his comments are rational. He ranks with the Ok Boomer, Geezers must die and weird 20 times a day commenters. AKA- no life, no future and no life achievements.
DeleteRIP OPRAH. With Speed to Whale Billionaire Heaven.
ReplyDeleteTOP PHOTO -- FREEDOM FIGHTER
ReplyDeleteOne man's freedom fighter is another man's terrorist!!!
“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32).
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
(1st Amendment; U.S. Constitution)
"Congress" doesn't mean anyone or everyone. It means Congress, just like "Well regulated" doesn't mean no regulations.
Delete"Congress" is not a universal synonym for every other word in the English language.
Flunkhouser you are blabbering NONSENSE!
DeleteEveryone but you knows what "Congress" refers to in the 1st Amendment.
Your comment served no purpose, other than to confirm your feeblemindedness.
The bigger established churches with money are doing ok. Its uncle ernie's solid rock jesus hour that needs to pass that plate.
ReplyDeleteThe rona goes bigot hunting on Sundays.
ReplyDeleteThere is no god. Belief in god is a failure of education.
ReplyDeleteThat is the sad irony, here. The inability to understand why you must not do this is a further failure of education.
You are endangering lives for no reason. Your failure to understand this is a further failure of education.
Fun fact: Jesus said that people who pray in public are hypocrites, & god doesn't hear their prayers. He said you should pray in secret, in your home!
Not true. Jesus said that people who pray OSTENTATIOUSLY in public will not be heard. You are zero for lifetime.
DeleteShut up, Byron. Even God hates you. Just like you brother, you mom and dad, and everyone on this blog.
DeleteYeah, if they open Missouri up I think I'll stay home for a couple weeks and let all the Trumpturds test the waters.
ReplyDeleteYou guys go right ahead! Yeah, get out and live it up. Restaurants! Malls! Movies!
Then say hi to chuck in hell.
We don't need cops on the streets anymore killing people and that pulls the veil off the shitty government and business officials we've had to put up with all this time.
ReplyDeleteRomans 13: "Every person must obey the leaders of the land. There is no power given but from God, and all leaders are allowed by God. The person who does not obey the leaders of the land is working against what God has done. Anyone who does that will be punished. Those who do right do not have to be afraid of the leaders. Those who do wrong are afraid of them. Do you want to be free from fear of them? Then do what is right. You will be respected instead. Leaders are God’s servants to help you. If you do wrong, you should be afraid. They have the power to punish you. They work for God. They do what God wants done to those who do wrong. You must obey the leaders of the land, not only to keep from God’s anger, but so your own heart will have peace. It is right for you to pay taxes because the leaders of the land are servants for God who care for these things."
ReplyDeleteBut yeah just ignore that dumb shit
I agree w/ 10:15's 1000% sound logic.
DeleteJesus was a blasphemer who got what he deserved. From his father. God. Who told him to do it. J SHOULD have ignored his dad & obeyed his leaders instead b/c they're "God's servants" & advised Jesus what's best (against God). Whom they "serve". He'd had lived & got respect & Christianity & this post would not exist.
1000%.
Tell the victims of the Warsaw ghetto or the Nazi holocaust they should comply with tyranny.
DeleteSupporting the right for Christians to attend their church of choice is not praying in public.
ReplyDeleteIt's protecting their constitutional right of "Freedom of Religion".
Life is meaningless without faith, love and the fellowship of your family and friends.
You can always continue to live your life of solitude in your basement fearing anything and everything.
I don't go to church. But I am glad to see our CONSTITUTIONAL rights upheld by the court. Even though it doesn't apply to me. Governor Kelly in her original statement said it wasn't about politics but said the AG republican. In his statement the AG said in his interpretation of the the law it was not legal. He didn't say the governor's political affiliation. Who sounded more political?
ReplyDeleteYep uphold those "rights" let them worship together and spread the virus among themselves, thin the heard of those unable to think for themselves. Now when you go to the store and you are standing in line with one of those who demanded their rights as they cough and wheeze. Herd them up so they can pray and keep the rest of us safe.
ReplyDelete"Those unable to think for themselves". You nailed it! From the same party that gave NY softdrink size limits for the same reason. You summed up the problem with Dummocrats.
DeleteIf you are so concerned about social distancing, you shouldn't be in a store to begin with. Stay in your basement.
DeleteJust stay inside Maude. Who knows what kind of germs a weido like you are carrying.
DeleteIf your church doesn't care about you possibly getting sick. Maybe it's time to think about getting a new church.
ReplyDeleteWhat about those states' exceptions to child abuse & neglect laws where you can let your child die in the name of Christ? (Typically Christian Scientists, Jehovah's Witnesses, Amish and Scientologists)
ReplyDeleteChildren like Mariah Wilson or 2yo Ella Grace Foster?
Religious rights & free speech, tho. *Sigh* What can you do? Life's full of tough, black & white choices.
I mean, on one hand, you want your child to live. But, on the other...your own planet would be SO COOL!!
So you don't support abortion? Thought so.......
Delete1:41 pm - Democrats have murdered over a million babies with their abortion clinics.
ReplyDeleteJesus, Mohammed and who every the hell the Jewish pray to are just pretend friends for adults. Grow up everyone.
ReplyDelete"Give unto Caesar, what is caesar's" - that means Churches obey the government's rules. This is per Jesus Christ. Unless you call Jesus a liar. Churches should obey Jesus and the state laws. It even applies to taxes, which is the worse law. So will churches obey Christ or not?
ReplyDeleteWell the first rule of government is that it is lawful. The federal court ruled the rule isn't lawful. So yeah I suppose the church's will follow the rule now that it is corrected to be LAWFUL! Pretty simple really.
