TKC MUST READ!!! PROGRESSIVE JACKSON COUNTY LEGISLATOR CRYSTAL WILLIAMS PROCLAIMS PREZ TRUMP, VEEP PENCE & MISSOURI GUV PARSON 'DROPPED THE BALL' AMID CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC!!!

A scathing coronavirus rebuke targeting Republicans from an elected official on the Jackson County Legislature deserves examination by Kansas City metro voters.

Accordingly . . .

JACKSON COUNTY LEGISLATOR CRYSTAL WILLIAMS DENOUNCES THE TRUMP WHITE HOUSE & MISSOURI GOVERNER PARSON FOR ALLEGED CORONAVIRUS INACTION!!!

Blaming people for pandemic deaths is a tough call and it's something that even the most fiercely partisan activists have attempted to tone down. Remember that former Veep Biden said it was "a little to harsh" when journalist Chuck Todd asked if Prez Trump had "blood on his hands" over his handling of the current crisis.

Nevertheless, one of Kansas City's most strident advocates for women's rights and a local progressive thought leader isn't pulling any punches . . .

Jackson County Legislator Crystal Williams: "When government doesn't work, people can die. Those of you still making excuses for Trump and Parson, please stop. They have dropped the ball completely, and due to the fact we are all at risk, and more people will fall ill and possibly die.

"Failing to act in an emergency is the largest failure of all."

This is her prerogative and we'll let readers judge for themselves. Our only insight is that this scathing critique seems like a very bold statement from a lady who didn't really lift a finger to help Jackson County taxpayers during the recent property tax debacle that threatened to put local homeowners out on the street.

You decide . . .

  1. May not agree but she's putting it out there and not pulling any punches. That's more than I can say for most electeds in KC.

Wild statement. Out of control. I could where people wouldn't want her in office. Too unpredictable and erratic.

  3. Dropped the ball? It's not gone already? Trump said it'd be gone by April once it warmed up! It's still a problem?

  9. Well I have no doubt the Ms Williams, had she been the president, upon first hearing if the Chinese virus would have immediately banned all entry into the US from China. Then she would have expelled all Chinese nationals here in the country (because you never know)
Then she would asked congress to renew the “Chinese exclusion Act”. And then personally got to work on a vaccine while seeing face masks at home
Let me know when a county legislature is relevant

  14. Hmm... County couthouse is so bad a judge had to force them to make it useable, county jail is so bad even KCMO wouldn't use it, and assessments are so bad there are dozens of lawsuits and thousands of appeals. Trump's response has been a dumpster fire in the last month, but a Jackson Co legislator is one of the few with no room to complain. Ms. Pot, meet Mr. Kettle.

  15. Do I agree with President Trump? Not often but it's very dangerous to start playing the blame game with a disease. I don't notice her doing much of anything noawdays but ranting on her Facebook. I wish she put as much effort into listening to all of her constituents.

  16. Really? What can Jackson County even begin to do correctly???? What a joke.
