Nick & Jake's Was Never Gonna Make It

This fancy fare is about TKC's pay grade but here's a comment from our blog community on the restaurant closing:

"The prices here were INSANE for what was basically an 'upscale' version of Applebee's. They priced themselves out of competition and there were NEVER more than half a dozen regulars at this pace during the best of times. Not every restaurant shut down should be blamed on coronavirus. This place was a tough sell during the best of times."

Here's a more balanced MSM story on the sad situation for workeers . . . Some of whom are challenging current lockdown orders behind the scenes:

Nick and Jake's closes location south of the Country Club Plaza

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Nick and Jake's closed one of its four restaurants in the Kansas City area. The restaurant at 5031 Main St. in Kansas City, Missouri, posted the announcement Monday on its Facebook page.

Extremely not only overpriced, but overrated.

Lived a few blocks away and had many meals there...pretty good food and service, but that location is cursed ever since the china buffet left.

Don't worry retards we are only killing the locally owned businesses, the big corp.s should be just fine.

It's a wonder the location in Parkville has been able to stay open- same problem, high prices, mediocre food, poor service and loads of pretention!

One of many casualties to come. The economic deaths will probably outnumber the virus deaths before this is over.
