NEWSFLASH!!! CORONAVIRUS CANCELS KANSAS CITY 2020 PARTY SEASON!!!

Public radio reminds locals that the upcoming end of the lockdown simply means that locals are allowed to go to work and get sick but good times, music and sporting events will still be horrifically limited until there's a vaccine.

Why Kansas City's Season Of Live Music, Beer And Kettle Corn Won't Happen Even After Stay-At-Home Orders End

Boulevardia, Symphony in the Flint Hills, the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival - all are now all canceled or postponed. Even if all of the metro's stay-at-home orders are lifted by mid-May as planned, many festivals won't happen this summer.

If there is a vaccine. If there is an immunity. The efforts to date are to buy time. The efforts to date have done nothing whatsoever to eliminate the virus. The virus is here to stay for the long run.

Or: How I learned to stop worrying and love the virus.

Oh no, no Boulevardia with all those amazing national headlining artists they bring in?

Damn shame.
